Rounda get beat

Can you post the tweet here for those of us who don't bother with Twitter?

Should show up even if you don't have an acct

But anyway, here it is

"Glad to see that @RondaRousey lost her championship fight last night," Trump tweeted Sunday. "Was soundly beaten - not a nice person!"

Never understand why Americans love to attack those at the top, why they root for them to fail.

Ronda was getting that treatment, Lebron gets that treatment, Steph Curry is getting that Treatment. Derek Jeter got that treatment, Mayweather too (I agree with that since he's a wife beater and a terrible person and rarely knocked anyone out).

Very odd how fans get so involved and filled with hate when certain athletes or public figures become successful and rise to the top. It's not their fault their abilities, effort and determination got them there. They are capitalizing on their success. It's such a small window for most of these athletes, some just a couple years. 99% of fans have no clue what it took to get there yet they bitch and moan, in Ronda's case, they are cherry picking fights etc and garbage for not moving up in classes.

It sucks Ronda lost but I bet she comes back better and more skilled in boxing and kickboxing. On paper and watching Holy, it looked like it would be a tough matchup. A taller fighter, more reach, kickboxer, one that could keep Ronda at distance and avoid a ground game. Not surprised she lost. I was rooting for Ronda but not shocked she lost.

It didn't show up for me. Might be work filters. Thanks for posting it. Good ol' Donald. His perspective is always...ummm...interesting.

People don't simply attack those at the top........ they attack those who act like whiney self-aggrandizing buffoons. There's a difference.

None of the athletes that I listed act like "whiney self-aggrandizing buffoons" except for Mayweather.

Not seeing the national level 'Steph-hate'; he's the quintessential 'little guy' on the court which adds to his popularity, and I see a lot of kids in #30 jerseys, like their parents said "wellllll, you won't be 6 foot 9 because everyone in our family is 5 foot 8, but look at Steph Curry, he's little!"... :dunno :laughing

LeBron garnered a lot of dislike with one "Chosen One" tattoo and the following statement: "I'm taking my talents to South Beach."

Arrogant fighters are a dime a dozen, growing up in the era of Ali's prime you learn that schtick, but he backed it up, so I wasn't bothered by Rousey. Besides, she WAS unbeaten, she could talk, but like LB said, now is a reality check.

I always hated Jeter because he was so f'n good (couldn't ever dismiss his talent), and a Yankee... not necessarily in that order.

To me, I liked champions like Borg and Sampras, they didn't talk shit, they didn't do stupid shit, they didn't need to, but in these days of the 24 hour news/sports/gossip era, something would pop up, I'm sure.

I think she'll be back. Quite frankly, I think she has been doing too much and enjoying her celebrity to excess. Shooting movies and commercials, modeling gigs. Lost that eye of the Tiger. I think she will punish the shit out of her next opponent.

I agree completely (as stated in post 96). She is going to crush her next opponent. Embarrassment can be a mighty powerful motivator.

I will tell you this: I would NOT want to be Rousey's next opponent. :wow

She needs a new coach, trainer, basically entire new staff supporting her.

She got fucking throttled the entire first round, and when she went to the corner her coach told her that round was beautiful and to keep going. WTF?

They are going to build her up again and give her 3-4 powder puff fights to get her in shape for a rematch. When I say "shape", I mean built up enough to look like a credible opponent. When she loses the second time, if it's not close, then her big money days are done.

She has value and the UFC will attempt to exact all they can. Then as with all of the fight sports (and arguably all pro sports) she will be cast aside.

I always was a mayweather supporter ..
Total fights 49
Wins 49
Wins by KO 26
Losses 0

Not sure your generalization translates ...
A lot of people rooted for Paq-man but then again they were the people who knew least about boxing... I recall them saying the same thing : Why are you bashing on a champion... The answer : He wasn't and it was proven as such.
