Those are some very strong allegations!

I would think something like that would start getting around... just like you say you know about it, then many more people would know about it.

And if this is true and you knew about it and didn't say anything about it before, then you are no better than anyone you are accusing.

I know several of the RR and they are good guys. I have not been around when any of the things listed in this thread happened. I just know what I have seen personally. Sure there are going to be a few bad apples in the crowd....but there are many more great guys in the group. I don't live in the Bay, so I have not seen the stuff you guys say happens on the freeways on a daily basis. Just keep in mind just because someone has the RR on their back it doesn't mean that person is like what you see on You Tube.

did he really say that ??

:laughing

So . . .

A friend of a prospect, who probably rode Bitch down to Cannery Row, suddenly joins the crew with a bike, and no one questions it? :hand

:rolleyes

Wow, you're making absolutely NO assumptions at all to get to a point you feel warm and fuzzy about....

Could have met them there.

Could have been a local.

Could be nobody noticed.

Most importantly, the cat deserved to get nabbed because he was stupid enough to show up to the Row the day after snatching someones bike - especially someone who was likely to be at the Row, as well.

-Q!

He deserved to get caught cause he stole a bike, riding it there was just.....special.

Glad to hear the guy got his bike back.

I just read the last few pages of this thread... some interesting stuff going on.

All I wanted to say was that I agree with ABN... if BARF is a 'club', then I quit.

This is not a 'club' to the best of my knowledge... I don't join these types of 'clubs' out there.

This is an online forum... a FREE discussion forum.... anyone who posts here has an account on BARF, and therefore is a BARFer.... this sure as hell is not a club, not to me it isn't.

I understand. But at the same time have you heard about the good things we have done? I'm sure you haven't, because we are always portrayed in a negative light. Did anyone hear about our "Coat Drive" last year? Did anyone hear about the donations we made to local schools. Did anyone hear about the old lady we did CPR on Tully a few months back who got hit by a bus? No. I'm sure you didn't. Yes we do have some bad apples, but we have a lot of good ones too. But people see one or two bad things in some and forget all the good. People see the good in others and overlook the bad.

There is no need for me to reconsider my membership. But I understand where you are coming from. A lot of these guys have treated me like family from a time before I got in this club.

I can see that. As you said, it's unfortunant that the good doesn't make the news as often as the bad, but the unfortuante thing is that one shitty act can undo many good ones. Especially when you talk about a group that is blocking traffic for 100's of people for what is potentially hours.

It would help if someone would come out and make an apology and state that disciplinary measures have been taken, or that a number of people came in to the police and took responsibility and paid the fines/did community service as needed. Better yet, have everyone contribute to some sort of effort to make things up to those that they inconsiderately inconvienced. The fact that they went out and did that there rather than doing it in a parking lot, where it would have been safer for everyone is inconsiderate and stupid.

What if one of your members had gotten run over by someone attempting to get through your illegal roadblock?

I appreciate that many of them have treated you well, but that doesn't somehow undo their actions. If you weren't a part of it, that's borderline irrelevant, because when you put on that vest you represent every one of your members with your actions, and if the other members won't be upholding your good name in the same way, maybe it's time to make some changes.

+1 to bad someone seems to think it's only wrong if you get caught.

Let me clarify for those that are simply looking for a reason to argue.

All motorcycle thieves should be shot. But this particular thief also deserved to be arrested simply for being stupid - whether he stole a bike or not.

And folks who steal motorcycle parts aren't much better....

Just like i have nothing but respect for a certain local motorcycle group because of the actions of their members. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if anything happened like this with the previously mentioned local group, heads would ROLL. End of story. [/B]

Dont keep it a secret, which group are you referring to?

SBF - good show over at San Jose Grand Prix.

The SBF group is a cool group of folks, keep up the great work on Bay2Sac,/Sac2Bay, etc!

Not important. It simply has to do with the management of a group of riders in a way that does good for the community.

RR's actions with their "press conference" hardly speaks to that.

Well it seems that if we can have pages of bashing of one group, it would be nice to hear the name of a group you think does things correctly

Z3n just say its SBF so those guys can rip on ya through the forums....lol

Well, seeing the crazy stuff they were doing on the way to Cannery Row last year, it really doesn't suprise me.

LOL

Dont blame RR for everything that happens at Moto GP/ Cannery Row. Not one of our members got a ticket, warning, or involved in a mishap. I smile inside when all the rumors spread like wildfire.
