I think I understand shadow banning and its implementation far better than you do.
It can be used for bad, and good. Like most tools.
Oh barf. Can't we have a conversation anymore. Swing that dick bro, swing it.

I'm not sure you understand what is going on. Might be a good idea to look into what Twitter is doing before commenting.
Following the TOS has absolutely nothing to do this this conversation.
Please educate yourself. This isn't for bots or for trolls.

Now we just need a bot to keep you from typing "super useful" in two consecutive paragraphs and all will be right in the world.I think I understand shadow banning and its implementation far better than you do.

Crazy...
Its getting pretty Orwellian around here...
Old news. Been a tool in the forum moderation toolbag for around a decade.
Unfair? maybe consider following the TOS.

plot twist, TylerW and Entopic are twitbots
Which is a close cousin of the twatbit.
I was shadow banned on reddit, sometimes I think I’m shadow banned here too but then I remember I’m just an asshole a lot of the timeand probably on everyone’s ignore list at this point

Anyhow, since apparently I don't know anything about a tool I've used for nearly ten years, maybe you could share a link or two to "educate" me? Bonus points if they aren't from some hyper-right or libertarian rag, since that's all I've found on the matter.
Now we just need a bot to keep you from typing "super useful" in two consecutive paragraphs and all will be right in the world.![]()

As I've stated earlier in this threat, it's a very potent moderation tool best used on extremely bad actors, particularly on platforms where it's easy to return with a new account after your old one has been banned/suspended. Instead of overtly telling the user that they can't post anymore, instead, they can post away, but just into a void where no one will ever interact with them. Hopefully, eventually, they'll just go away.Would you educate the rest of us on it then? What do you think about the social impacts of it? Wouldn't it be easier to just ban people from the platform?
You're correct that most of the articles are from the hyper-right which is weird. I'd think this would be an across the board issue. What are your thoughts?
I wonder about it sometimes too. Like nobody ever respond to my posts. But then I realize it's because most of my posts are shit![]()

Nice thread. Now tell me, why is anyone over the age of 15 on bookface or titter.
Popcorn in hand...
What are "bookface" and "titter?" Are they kid things, or things adults are simply incapable of naming?Nice thread. Now tell me, why is anyone over the age of 15 on bookface or titter.
