Skyrim

I gots me a ring of smithing, bracers of smithing, and a necklace of smithing.

Pounding out Exquisite and Legendary goods from my loot, then switching to my necklace of haggling while wearing my thieves guild hood to sell it. The economy can't support me.

Got my sneaking up for the 15X dagger atttack, one-hitting unwary bandits. Got my archery up for the 3X sneak attack, one-hitting most unwary bandits.

Found what looks like Dwemer ruins while Lydia was elsewhere pathfinding. Attacked by Afflicted who projectile vomited green shit. Ran away, into a Legion patrol, who came to a fork in the road, where they met a Stormcloak patrol. Afflicted joined. Hilarity ensued.

Dungeons level up with you :devil

But yea, the Falmer and the Charus are pretty sturdy. At one point on my armored character, arrows were taking 1/3 my health per shot.
i think the dungeons lock at the level you FIRST enter them in, with any advance afterwards not equal to the advance of the rest of the game = to your level. the charus were my problem, too. falmers i could 4 shot. charus? like 25 shots. :nchantr

I will also add.... if you are an archer/stealth char, it's good to have some conjuring skills... a well placed atronach is your friend :teeth
+1 on conjuring. only up to apprentice and no buffs on the atronoch, but just having one out makes all the difference. btw, i'm playing the whole game on Master, so since the PC cheats anything goes for me, too! :laughing

So I've still yet to get a better weapon than my trusty Skyforge Sword. I enchanted it with fire damage too or somethin.

1 handed weapon, I mean.

I've got quite the party over here... Lydia, Barabas the Daedric dog, an atronach, and me... gets crowded at times :laughing

We whoop ass though.. Barabas is great for charging mages, etc. but the downside is he's really aggressive and makes a ton of noise with his barking :laughing

I had to tell that stupid dog to stop following me, every door i went thorugh he would walk right behind me and block me:mad

Who is the best companion in the game? I have tried several of the mages from the mage college, good offensive power but weak defense. It seem the best ones are the one from fighter guild/whatever the hell they are called. They are heavily armored and can fight really well.

I like the summon spectral assassin. He does just wait one day and you can summon again. He stays till he dies each time.

The horses are like mountain goats. I have not found a mountain a horse can not scale like spiderman.

Which is why I like Lydia... a solid fighter. I found if the dog blocks you, it's easy to jump over or shield/bow butt it out of the way.

When i used her i found her to be very passive. She would kind of just sit back and chill.

What is Lydia's preferred armor and weapon? Light? Shield/one-handed? I've got her in heavy armor and I think it might not be ideal.

I've found that she just uses whatever the best items you give her are. I think right now she's using an enchanted dwarven battle axe that takes away stamina or does frost damage or something.

I'm still just using my friggin Skyforge sword. 28 damage + fire enchantment.

She comes with heavy armor and a shield, so I suspect she is perfectly happy with those. I don't know exactly how she is spec'd, but she is probably fine with two-handed as well, given the Nords are the only race with a +10 to two-handed.
