:laughing In other news, dragon corpses cause traffic jams in Whiterun...

Just finished the 3 part amulet quest.. the final product is a +30 health, magica, stamina amulet. I finally got rid of Barbas. He was making things too easy anyway.

I hated that quest, the 3 ghost sons were very annoying to fight as primarily melee.

It was cake for my stealth archer. Those guys are blind as bats :laughing The archer guy must have been a pain in the ass for a melee char... my current bow damage is 66 + 25 fire + whatever arrow I'm using. Not bad if you get a few triple damage sneak shots in.
 
I find i'm doing alot of CC being 95% melee it seems to work ok. The only guys I have issues with are stronger shock mages. Need to work on leveling my enchanting.

The first ghost was a b*tch as a mage. Not because he himself was hard, but because if his minions engage my atronarch along with him, atronarch dies in seconds. If his minions engage me, I die in moments. I tried to be clever and Turn Undead the minions which worked really well for the first 60 seconds, but when there are 4+ running around it's hard to keep track and keep them all Turn'd.

In the end I ran in circles casting and re-casting my atronarch, which after several minutes finished off all the minions, who finally stopped spawning.

bears in general are manageable. polar bears are nucking futz and tenacious. :laughing

i had two of them chase me down from the Shrine of Azura towards Winterhold. i blew past a trio of bandits and two packs of ice wolves. the three groups got in to it near a Horker breeding area at the bottom of the hill.

everything died except the bears, and that's who everyone was attacking. they hit like mini giants :wow

My ebony bow smacks for 158 base. Also have shock and soul trap on it but I don't even bother recharging the bow any more. Most everything is a 1-shot kill, although the bosses take 2-3 shots sometimes. My Archery is only at 73 too.
 
Im to the point I can take polar bears and the artic saber cats down dual wielding deadric daggers. I can take on most wild life no problem. The forsworn briairhearts those are another story. I can not fight them head on

yea the briarhearts hit like trucks, I like to try and get a stealth attack on them , then ice form, and hack and slash them before they get up and bitch slap me. I'm almost considering carrying a 2nd set of light armor with appropriate resists for those bastards.

I'm daggers only now, the best ones I have are my legendary glass daggers. I found one Ebony but I can only upgrade it to flawless because i'm light armor which still isn't as good as glass.... Who the fook designed these talent trees ,I think i'm going to have to dump more points into smithing :party

That's a badass bow... What level is your char? I'm currently only level 36...
 
I just hit 51 last night. My main skills are one handed 79 I think archery 74 and sneak 100.
 
Huh? I came upon a Forsworn Briarheart at L31 or 32 and he was no trouble. Of course, that was about the time I had given Lydia some of my extra scrolls like raise zombie and fireball. I'm in this furball with a couple Forsworn and I see two more coming down the hill. I take a swing at the latter and notice it's "Lydia's familiar" or something. WTF? And he was chasing the other Forsworn like Ike chasing Tina. WTF!? Was that the zombie scroll in action?

Crazy bitch used up all her scrolls instantly. NO MORE SCROLLS FOR YOU!

I've got a ring of kick-ass one-hand wielding and I'm just loving these cinematic kills. Decapitation, blade-through-spine, kick the body, etc.
