Solar Eclipse Glasses?

I had per chance obtained 'glasses' for free some days ago, from a certain California institution in some 'as=if=maligned' City (*)

I put the glasses ON my Saasung, didn't take a good pic :(
Finally, I barely got one pic when I put dark shades TOGETHER with the 'glasses' in front of my Saasung and I have a tiny image of a half-20%-sun.

The rest of the eclipse was visible with the paper 'glasses' I have. (California. Luckily found some sun..)
Interesting, turns out the pics of Meter Man from his location are turned about 30 deg CCW from the thing that I saw with my eyes

* - WTF someone sold the same as $11 or $22 per pair?!?!?! :wtf

I actually witnessed that.

No joke. about 50 of them on the side of .. a freeway!!!

granted it was not the worst bay area freeway but still.. :wtf

Got the kiddos out of school and had them all lined up on the ground looking at the eclipse. It was pretty nice got about 75% coverage at max.

Saw it in San Jose skies clear. About 80% Solar Eclipse got some pictures in plasma green =P

Also... I rode down to SC via some NC backroads and ended up watching the total eclipse near Greenville, SC.

That was hands down one of the best/top phenomena - all bits of nature / the environment included - I've ever seen. 12 hours round trip? Without question so, so worth it.

Yesterday's renewables profile from the California ISO. You can see the dip in solar production.

That's awesome! I was a little disappointed with the 98% here in Charlotte. It looked cool but I was hoping for darkness.

It felt like I was back in CA during forest fire season. :wtf

I was up in Idaho to see the totality. Truly an amazing experience. There are a ton of photos out there, but nothing can come close to the real experience. My brain had a hard time processing what I was seeing. No glasses, no pin holes. All with your naked eye, you see his shining shimmering beauty around a dark disk that gives us all life. Truly incredible!

For the next one, i am just going to sit there and stare up at the eclipse with my naked eye 100% of the time. Everything else was an interesting lead-up to the star of the show. :)

We took the grandkids to Happy Hollow yesterday, and as we entered they handed out solar sunglasses for free, so our grandkids got to see the eclipse. The 6 year old thought it was cool, but the 2 year old wasn't impressed.

Here's what our rooftop solar system reported for yesterday:
