Someone threw a rock (and hit me) on Hwy 9 today (7/4/06) (Warning - blood)

Fuck. I caught you guys hanging out at STP after that incident. Pretty fucked up man. Some scary shit, cause I ran a few laps back there around 1pm
 
Sarah just changed the bandage, it's a little before 10 right
now and it's still bleeding pretty good even through the stitches.
Nothing I'm going to be worried about at the moment.

The bruise that's coming up is going to be pretty... and it's
pretty dead obvious where the rock hit... Thing was big.

Did the LEOs say anything about this being a recurring incident? Seems to me this could be considered assault with a deadly weapon, given your speed and vulnerability on a bike. Kinda like dropping stuff from freeway overpasses.

You know, this has me second guessing about riding those isolated goat trails on my sv aka gazos, tunitas, kings mtn, cloverdale.

Would suck to be in a shooting gallery out there on those goat trails where anyone could hurl a good sized rock and disappear.
 
9 isn't too goaty, remote, isolated. Lots of traffic there. Sure would be nice to catch the asshole.

Damn there are some fucked up people out there. Riders getting shot at with BB guns, rocks thrown at them, not to mention all the other shite I have heard being done up in the hills...oil, branches, etc. I had someone roll a scoccer ball out onto 84 once, I avoided it and just kept going. Even the track isn't safe anymore. I keep hearing about people having there suspension messed with at the track and causing the racer to crash or have a near crash...

When I saw (warning-blood)...pictures... I was hoping you caught the fucker and be the shit out of them and took pictures! People like this should be stripped naked and tied up to an overpass sign after a severe ass whoopin!
 
Wow, sounds like one hell of a piece of riding to bring yourself to a stop upright. Seriously fucked up shit! There are just way too many people out there who make me question just what the fuck it means to be human...
 
damn, that sucks. What is wrong with people? It's hard to hit a motorcycle travelling at speed too, so whoever was out there had a lot of planning and timing down before they fired the rock at you.

Obvious you're well enough to type so I got to ask....How is the Duc? Glad to hear you made it, that is sooo f'd up and a one in a thousand shots to make contact with you. I am pretty amazed that the impact didnt cause you to drop the bike.
