GoGo, great write up. I just found this thread earlier tonight as a result of Jim's comment elsewhere. Great writeup and great video footage. I thoroughly enjoyed the mini seminar that Gerry gave you early on, so much so that I will be hating life at work tomorrow as a result. I can't wait to read the full report of this weekend.

Congrats on your progress so far and good luck at T-Hill next weekend.

Everybody in T11 grandstands cheered for you when you got back up from your T11 spill to cross the line and go around the track one more time. :thumbup

I've got some pictures of you from where I was in the grandstands, but silly me didn't realize I had the camera set to 2MP the whole time despite my 15x zoom.

One of my friends that joined me didn't know anything about your entry and was genuinely shocked to see a naked and upright bike during the Sportbike class. I filled her in as best as I could, and needless to say, she was rooting for you and puckered up when you didn't cross the line when she was expecting you to. She's a Speed Triple rider herself. :teeth
 
I was a turn 11 worker, and the one that gave you the second push out of the kitty litter. Glad to see you continue, as you had some pretty good hangtime!

What is kinda interesting to me is last two saturdays ago I was at the same trackday with Eric, last Saturday I helped pick him up, and assuming he is racing at T-hill, I will get to shoot him next Saturday.

Like I said interesting to me....

You looked great all weekend GOGO, and I look forward to seeing the SuperDuke out there!

Great thread, please excuse the hijack here but maybe Go Go or Rob748 can help me out as I just took delivery of one of the other HMC Rs - mine still has the number 10 (no X as pictured earlier in the tread) and is fitted with full Akra and clip ons. Do you have any idea whose this was or any more history, particlarly the choice of clip-ons? Thanks guys.
 
Dude I wish I could help you identifying which one it was but I can't. Ours had a #10 on it too, and no one ever responded to our questions with answers.

BUT.....

I CAN help you get that bike set up. We have learned a LOT about both bikes in the most recent month. Previously, for a spell, I was total anti R. Now we plan to resurrect our R plan entirely. We have discovered that it actually IS possible to set the R up just like we have our standard setup - which does work rather well.

Your answer to setup is Nichols Manufacturing. They plan to sell the two pieces that we helped them develop for about $750. Remember that number well, because of all the things you buy for your bike, none will be more valuable to you than these. Someone somewhere sells a rear ride height adjuster for Superdukes - it goes for $500 all on it's own. Nichols is selling BOTH pieces (rear ride height adjuster, and the upper triple clamp) for only $750.

Forget wheels, motor work, or anything else - until you get these pieces. You will love yourself, trust me. PM me for Jon's email.
