Sometimes I want to tap their sidearm to see what happens. Just enough so they notice it, but then just stand there like nothing happened.
 
Yup, costs have gone up. The only time I got pulled over in CA was on a roadtrip here in '99, with WA plates. 85 in a 65 on the Grapevine (Kern County) cost me $133. Did the traffic school option. These days seems like 10 over is gonna cost ya $400+.

Fortunately for my wallet, the police are few and far between, friendly, and always have bigger fish to fry than yours truly.
