Stoner retiring at end of 2012 season

well except a few weeks ago when he said he wasnt retiring, and no one should read that spanish journos paper

and then did retire :laughing

:rofl

i cant wait for a few years to pass and casey to come out with a book that says he hated everyone in motogp but he was just fake nice to everyone.

also, didnt rossi say he was in motogp for 2 years for sure? that sounds like the truth to me.

this has really been occupying a lot of my thoughts lately and im not sure why. one of my theories of why he is so frustrated with the sport is because he is jealous of other riders, mainly rossi.

before you are all like "THATS BULLSHIT!" hear me out...

during the years of rossi dominance, the press kissed his ass. rossi wins a race by a large margin and the headline reads "the GOAT wins it again". stoner leads a race by a large margin and the headline is "Boring race for motogp". i really think the majority of the media (excluding spanish) wants to see rossi do well and put the nail in the coffin as the best all time rider there ever was so they can say "i was there in that era". stoner is the best rider out right now and he isnt getting the credit he deserves. he's just the best in a bad era.

BUT

just giving up and walking away is a bitch move and i think he will regret it later on when he realizes it doesnt matter what other people think about you. as long as you can keep being the best for as long as possible, the critics dont matter. he has thin skin and he lets the success of other riders get to him. thats what i meant before by his entitlement issues. he thinks he deserves respect because he has won all these races, but no one will respect him until he can stop being a baby.

I have in fact wonderd many times why rossi can win 11 races a season and destory everyone, and the people fucking love him for it

stoner, jorge, they do it, and the people cant stand it and want "closer racing" and all that.

rossi won 5 straigjt titles winnig like 10 races every damned year. and it was the greatest thing ever. stoner, jorge? they get crushed.

the rality is, apart from rossi just being kinda of a feaky hippie guy, he understands that racing is a sport and also a sales tool. get gets the game. thats why he laid in wait al those times, pouncing at the end. thats why he acted like he was. he gets it

I think casey would like to run races with just rossi, jorge, dani, all on rc213v's in empty tracks. casey just wants to go fast, and just wants to cpmpete.

I kinda wonder why he would quite if he hates the media. Why not go out every weekend and win then thumb your noses at everyone. Be a complete cocky ass and back it up with wins.

If stoner wants a challenge why doesn't get get on an ART CRT bike. I would love to see how well he could do on one.

The ability to hate and to rationalize hates of some people really does amaze me.

JO, do you think the tire issue and the switch against stoners wishes was the final straw? kind of a slight?

Sad to see any athlete lose there drive/ love for a sport they grew up playing. I remember when I Stopped loving baseball and continued to play, those were the worse years of my life.

stoner is a great rider that we will all look back on a wonder what would have happened if he had continued.

Why, Bayliss did the same thing.

Why, Bayliss did the same thing.

Bayliss different. he was the right age to retire, and he was in wsbk anyway.

casey should not be retiring. now way or how. casey should stay for another 10 years and agaijst jorge, should be having on eof the most epic rivaliries ever.

people will wonder what casey would have done, because he was the best rider int he world and should be chasing rossis win count and title count

I blame the rulebook. The sport has devolved into F1. At this point I don't really care to watch the races. Even thinking about removing it from my DVR.

hahahaha, wow! Lots of armchair psychiatrist on the BARF. Dude retires. No need for drama..hahahahahaha

"this sport has changed a lot and it has changed to the point where I am not enjoying it"

You don't think that's a talking point? I think that's cause for drama

Secondly Casey is 26! let the man live. besides He wasn't even entertaining to watch. qualify on pole, jack rabbit to the finish. remember when riders used to blitz through the grid in the first two laps? me neither. :rofl but at least they would battle for a few corners. personally Caseys days were numbered after he got his ass handed to him at laguna. c'mon son! you got passed in the dirt son. then you fell off the bike in the last corner son. then you tried to talk smack about it :rofl Cmon son! go raise you family. He's a puss for retiring so young IMO. I never liked him from day one. Hard to believe he's Australian at times. Bayliss, Doohan, Carruthers, Gardner, a different breed of man I suppose these days.

There is talking point yes, but some of the hate that is coming out. wow.:laughing

Every man has to do what they feel inside. If he doesn't feel the passion for it anymore, for whatever reason, then so be it. I get that. It's a shame, but it is what it is. Personally I don't care if he is fan friendly; I just like watching him race. To me it's a thing of beauty. I do wonder if he is really done with racing; I want to say no.

If he is burned out and feels like he needs a challenge, perhaps he should consider riding the TT. That should test him. I'm not sure he is up to that.
