SV / MV rebuild - It's (almost) alive!

OK, so I'm not quite done. I need to add the black mesh to the side panel vents as well as add the decals to a couple spots. Something is visually 'out of balance' with the front fairing... I think it needs a 'SVR650' or some such custom decal - we'll see.
Until then, here's the decal that's going on the tail.
Interesting that "Suzuki" has the same number of letters as "Agusta". And that "SV" is dangerously close to "MV".
So looky at what I did...!

Do you think this bike qualifies for the license plate I have in mind:

MV NV

:p

Nice! What is that front fairing off of? Those lights is crazy.

Front fairing is a Honda RC211V replica with lights from a Japanese market scooter. I made the side panels and molded them into a one-piece upper. Side vents are cut down 2004 GSX-R 600 side vents.

i agree, the lawn looks poopy...
Let's be clear...that's not a lawn, it's a 'field'. If I'd stop working on bikes, maybe I could make it into a lawn. Ah the joys of county living. ;)

Thats just fn cool, I'm sure there will be a few why bother with such an old bike q's, but it's cool to be different, now ya got me rethinking my FJ fairing, Maybe an early '90's FZR, without lowers.........
I love the '80's endurance bike look.

So did you snag some MV mirrors with the built in turn signals? Clean work Chris .

OMG that thing is bad ass...

I'll admit I wasn't really digging this project initially when I started following the thread a few months back..

But now that I see the finished product I must say wtf was I thinking...

I also think that a belly pan would balance out the looks of the bike but fuggin awsome work dude.. :thumbup

*No Frame Sliders?*

Thanks for the kind words. In an earlier version of the fairing (started with a 2004 GSX-R 600 upper), I actually did get a set of MV mirrors - but they make every bike but the MV look like an angry bunny, IMHO.
So off they went to eBay.
No worries though: Notice the headlights have built-in turn signals!

If it had full fairings, it would be perfect in my eyes. Great craftsmanship. Are you in Petaluma? I live right off Pepper. I think I noticed the background scenery in some earlier pics.

I vote to get the pipe painted gold, and paint the subframe black like the frame.

Also, I don't mind the missing lower. But I think it would look better with one on.

Awesome bike. Please dont ever crash it.

Yep, not too far from Pepper, in fact. I'm going to throw another composites fabrication party so watch for that thread and come by if you have some time.

I want to be careful with the gold - too much and it starts to look a bit too pimp-daddy for me.
And it seems like everyone wants it to have full bodywork. :cry

Dammit, I just wanted to update the original look of the S model with it's little 1/2 fairing. I doubt I'll ever make a full set of bodywork for it but I am thinking about fabbing up a chin fairing. We'll see.

No Gold ... No chin fairing .. And Definately No Full Fairings.

Ignore them ... and trust your own good taste.
