I hadn't had it in a long time, and then I remembered why I don't eat it. :laughing
Same thing with KFC.

I'd never had it before that.

Nor will I ever eat it again.

You know where I haven't had a burger in a while? The burger ranch in cloverdale.

The place in Leggett also has a pretty damn good cheeseburger.

Sylvesters in Los Osos/Atascadero. They have a 5# burger eating contest annually, free burger on your :afm199 birthday.
As to Mad River, I'm within range for a :ride there, and on my list to go back and have another.:party

For a slightly longer ride

Woods Creek Cafe in Jamestown

A surprisingly good restaurant off the beaten path. Everything here is good. Their food is unique. It is only restaurant east of Berkeley that I wish had a bay area location.

Some very fast roads around here as well.

Thumbs up for Woods Creek in Jamestown.

When Sonora Pass opens , stop at Woods Creek on the way up. Then go down #395, with the snow capped Sierra on your right, to Whoa Nellie Deli in the Mobil Station in Lee Vining. You will be cheeseburgered out at that point!

louie's saloon in la grange has great burgers.haven't been in awhile, hopefully they are still open.

I have to ride about 3 blocks for a Squeeze In Burger :laughing

Speaking of Sonora Pass,
Rhino Burger in
Bridgeport ... :ride

... and Walker Burger
in Walker ...

Gotta give :thumbup :thumbup :thumbup for the Cheese Burgers at the Old Corner Saloon in Copperopolis...

They give you all the ingredients on a platter...
You put it together, the way You want it ..

OMG What a difference that makes.. :cool

If it gives me a reason to ride on a nice day... I'm excited to go anywhere, and find a new place... Not to thread-jack but, Mikes Pizza in Angels Camp... OMG, often and its 120+ miles

Damn, can't post in this thread cause I can't haz cheese burgers. :( If I could, then I'd ride to the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas and get one of these babies... :laughing

FWIW, I think the real deal at Mad River are the berry shakes.

I've ridden to Seattle for a Dick's Deluxe (actually, I went for the shake and fries - the burger was a bonus). Who knows how far I'd ride for a really good cheeseburger? :laughing

For burgers, fortunately I don't have far to go. If you've never been there, try the burgers at Happy Hound in Los Gatos on Los Gatos Blvd. You'll think you've died and gone to heaven. Just a funky old world style hamburger and hot dog place.

For BBQ, either Lily Mae's House of Soul Food on Coleman behind the SJ airport or The Smoking Pig on 4th in San Jose. If you go to the Pig, try their "Wolf Turds" (meat and cheeze stuffed chilli peppers wrapped with bacon and BBQ with an amazing sause. Or their "Burnt Ends". Their "Lollipops" are fantastic as well. Drumsticks wrapped in bacon, smothered in sauce and BBQ'd. Mmmmm.......

Omg.

How have i not mentioned the burgers at field's station???

I love food, and a good burger, but I wouldn't travel out of my way just for it.

Nobby's Burgers. Chico.

Buy one of these burgers to find out what a cheese skirt is. Best burger EVER

Alex, you're missing it, man. The burger is just the excuse for doing a ride you want to do anyway. We say we do it for the burger, but we know we do it for the ride. :ride
