The Home Grower's Thread

Apparently, it's an issue with clones....I'd never had it before. Thanks BL! ;) Just kidding.

I did inncoculate before planting but now I'm ready for next time. I'll super clean the tent before the next grow.

Ouch. PM sucks.

Disregard my previous comment then if you are using substrate.

Mike0-583=68, any chance you can make it to the 2018 BARF HGT Summit?

For the record, I haven't had PM on any of my plants, but it was always a problem when I used to grow indoors with clones from the dispensaries. But that was years ago at a different locaiton.

So you are growing in soil right? You should be minimizing the runoff. Unless you are flushing, which if you are in soil you shouldn't really be doing unless you fuck up, any extra water just adds salts to the soil.

That said, any tray that fits under the pot will do fine. Again, you should be watering them less, but more often so you don't get runoff.

Because I use R/O water do I still get a lot of salt in the plants? I don't usually flush but byke says I should consider doing it every 4th watering

Honestly man, I've been out of touch with indoor growing. But probably not. You'll get build up from the nutes though. I don't know enough about indoor though so I'll defer to byke.

I'm not super hip to it all, just going through my first run, but I *think* salt build up is a thing created from using synthetic feed. I don't recall seeing anything about regularly flushing on anything organic. What does Mills recommend?

What's dead?

Salt build up is a real thing, but it happens when you are using hard water and overwatering.

The infection of WM. I definitely don't over-water I feel it and can feel when it's super light and ready for water.

Mills doesn't recommend anything.

So now my mix is: R/O + Si + Humic Acid +CalMg + A + B + additives depending on age (e.g. big bud, guano) PH'd to 5.5-6.5 for the coco or 6-7 for the soil

I would love to make it up. We would have Michael, Michael, Michael and Jordan and that is hilarious. But I dont think I can make it up. Lots of obligations this season and right now myself, my wife and both kids are getting mollywhopped by the flu. Im burning up vacation time and nothing around here is getting done. It might be a scrable to pull off x mass. I do appreciate the invite and do hope to make it up sometime when things are a little more sane. :thumbup

Gotcha. In that case, the R/O probably doesn't matter when you compensate for it by adding the minerals that are missing from R/O water.

:thumbup anytime. The door is open.

Ordered a 3.3x3.3 grow tray.

Will make watering so much easier. I also heart D cell powered electric watering pump.

ALso ordered a 1 foot riser for the tent. Will hang light higher.

So I think the CMH light has already made a huge difference over the LEDs in just a week but it just might be confirmation bias.

I think the Train Wreck is very close to harvest, maybe 1 more week and then a week flush...I'll check tricomes. The Tigers are looking healthier.

Gummies:

Made like 600

Hot diggity. I still have to try the ones you sent me. How strong are they?

On a similar note, I am going to have a shit-ton of budlets and mediocre buds that we can do fun things with. Think butter, gummies, tincture, etc. I have plenty.

Also Jordan, my girlfriend wants to get a little lesson on baking bread while you are here if you are cool with that.

I recommend most people take 1 and then another 1 1-2 hours later but I can each 5-10 without getting messed up. These new ones come in the original and slightly larger size.

No problem, I will prep some sourdough so I can show her the process and also standard sourdough.
