The Official 2012 NFL Thread

Lots more passes from Alex Smith without INT to extend the franchise record. He is Jim Plunkett, revisited: college hero, sucks for a few years in NFL, then magically elevates his game to incredible heights under a different coach.

That's okay, I'm enjoying a Cards game for once.

:laughing

Holy shit. 3 Ints and no TD's in the first half and after 3 Quarters of crap, Eli Manning turned into the Juggernaut.

:wow 510 Yards 3 TDs, 3 Ints 31/51.

LOL, Tampa Bay's head is still spinning. They want to know who the fuck they just lost after dominating for most the game. Apparently Coughlin had a toodoo with the Tampa Bay Coach because his guys charged the line when Eli took the final kneel down.

Reggie Bush just ran off tackle for another 35 yards this morning.

Still confused why the Vegas oddsmakers had the Raiders favored in that game, if Bush can run decently in game one against the rather awesome Houston Texans defense, why would the much-weaker Raiders' D be able to stop him? :wtf

And the rookie RB Lamar Miller they brought in to spell Bush is even faster than Reggie....

Fins D has a really strong front four, average LB play, and painfully weak secondary. So they were able to shut down McFadden easily but Palmer and the gang had some good chunk pass plays. Hence the Raiders were up 10-7 at halftime.

After that it was like Dwyane Wade and Lebron James were on the field, because the announcers kept saying the Raiders were having trouble in the second half with the Miami heat. :laughing

From the Funny Pics thread...

gee, if a guy with the skills like Hartline can single-handedly shred one half of the secondary, I just_can't_wait to see what Wallace and Brown do.:rolleyes

I anticipate more frustration from Seymour...Roethlisberger better get some more bars on that helmet.

On one play, the announcers were like "how can you give Hartline an 8-yard cushion on 3rd and 6?" :laughing

did you see the secondary coach have a meltdown after the 11th Hartline catch? at that point it was a joke. there has to be some scrub cornerback out of a job right now that can play better than either of the shite players that were covering him.

Except they traded it to the Bengals?

No, the Bengals got the raiders first round pick in 2012. In 2013 they get the Raider 2nd round pick. If the raiders get to the AFC Championship this year, it would move to a first round pick, but the likelihood of that happening seems quite remote. :laughing

alright i know it's a commercial but still... the Niners Defensive Captain is a fucking monster! :cool motivating stuff even if you already know his personal story.

Hate to say it but the 9ers look like the class of the NFL after Week 2. No one is playing as solid all around. Great Defense, A Smith playing really well. Balanced offensive. Harbaugh seems to be the savior.
