He graduated from Harvard, he's probably so highly intelligent us normal dumb people might think he has Asberger's.
Huh. No wonder I like him.

They aren't allowed to talk about anything football related until April when offseason workouts start, so there's really no way that this could have happened.

The first time I became aware of Fitz, I thought he was the Old Spice man playing football a la George Plimpton or something, knowing of his Ivy League background rather than football puppy mill school. Like a college prank gone big-time by a smart guy.
he has surprised me since then. It seems like he's for real now, hipster beard and all. But I still expect him to pull out the clipboard and make calculations to design a lighter-than-air vessel and float away...

YES. As a QB should be. He doesn't run, does he? He loses points if he is a runner.

He loses more points with inaccurate throws, like the ones he tossed to the Bills that kept the Jets out of the playoffs....
What did he have, 3 in the 4th quarter?
Yup: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...rip-on-playoffs-in-seasonending-loss-to-bills
I think there's a reason he's a "journeyman" QB, and it ain't because he likes the righteous sound of 1970's Steve Perry's vocals and Niel Schon's crisp guitar.
My cousin played football for MIT![]()

Who did they play? Girl teams or what????
Srsly, I have no clue about Ivy League football team talent but you rarely hear Harvard when the dudes are rattling off their schools on the teevee. And, like I said, the first time I heard it, and saw his mugshot, I thought it was a screenplay by whoever wrote MASH. I wondered if his backup was Bruce Campbell....
PS He did run one in in the playoffs. it must be said. And an awkward but effective dash it was. Yeah, not run, a dash, guvnor.
PPSS. I was disappointed later to learn the kid came from Arizona, not some old eccentric egghead clan from Haverhill, MA. Popped the image of northeast elite.
Arizona you say? Maybe snowbirds from back east?
Here is a pic of my cousin.

He was a Husky though, so that is more like real Football.
Wow I totally forgot that Jeff Garcia bounced around til he ended up with the Buccaneers.

After a scoreless first quarter Oakland scored on a 3-yd TD run by second year running back Michael Bush who finished the game with 27 rushes for 177 yards. After a touchdown by both teams the Bucs scored 17 unanswered points to take a 24–14 lead in the fourth quarter but a 12-yd touchdown pass from quarterback JaMarcus Russell to wide receiver Johnnie Lee Higgins and a 67-yard run by running back Michael Bush gave the Raiders a 28–24 lead. on the Bucs next drive Jeff Garcia threw an interception to safety Rashad Baker. After a goal line stand by the Bucs defense the Raiders kicked a 25-yd field goal by kicker Sebastian Janikowski to give Oakland a 7-point lead. On the next drive the first career sack by rookie defensive end Greyson Gunheims ended the game. The Raiders have ended their season on a 2-game winning streak and finish their season with a 5–11 record; the best since they also went 5–11 in 2004 and the Raiders knocked the Buccaneers out of Playoff contention. Interim head coach Tom Cable was named permanent head coach February 4, 2009.
Following the conclusion of the 2008 season the Oakland Raiders were identified as the 'Coach Killers' of the NFL. Following losses to the Raiders during the season, Jon Gruden of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Herm Edwards of the Kansas City Chiefs, Eric Mangini of the New York Jets and Mike Shanahan of the Denver Broncos were all let go from their respective programs. Gary Kubiak of the Houston Texans was the only head coach to lose to the Oakland Raiders in the 2008 season and keep his job.
everyone looks awesome in the silver and black.
Jacarcass Russell??? HA!!! Never heard that one.
