The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

That was a solid game from start to finish.
Both coaches and players made this SB great.

Most enjoyable.

Grats to the Eagle fans.

You can say that again. :teeth

Agree 100%!
The losers have nothing to hang their heads over, that was simply an outstanding game and could have gone either way, both teams played their hearts out, came very well prepared and put on one hell of a show! :thumbup

Even getting that sack with just over 2 min left didn't mean the game was finished.

Eagles couldn't get a first down and gave Brady over a minute to tie the game. Even a Philly fan knew Brady was capable.

Great Game!

I do feel bad for Carson Wentz.

Great game. Eagles on top. Awesome.

Belichick was gracious in the loss. He’s a class act.

Great season. Fly Eagles fly. Great win for a great team.

I’m gonna throw a shout out to Reggie White 92 and Jerome Brown 99 for this game. I couldn’t be happier for these guys and the franchise. Great game. Great team. Great championship.

That was a hell of a great time watching this game. Two great teams and Brady still had a shot at the end. Weirdest part was missed extra points and fieldgoals. Local brewery released a batch of tripled over IPA, barleywine, northeaster Ipa, etc. Just an overall good time with beers to wash it down.

fun game. couldn't believe the patriots didn't pull it out at the end. shocking.

and what the hell is all this about Malcom Butler not playing? He must have pissed someone off good to not step on the field for that defense.

... longest last minute ever ... :nchantr

Brady had not faced the team that choreographed
elaborate touchdown celebrations and
railed against social injustice and
donned goofy dog masks to embrace their
underdog status while mocking it.

Fulfilling team owner Lurie’s demand for a coach with
emotional intelligence, head coach Pederson fomented an
inclusive locker-room culture that empowered players to
flaunt their personalities.

Eagles owner Lurie knew head coach Pederson not only
as a brilliant offensive mind but as someone who,
having been pelted with batteries from impatient fans
wishing McNabb to start as a rookie in 1999,
had the requisite toughness to coach in Philadelphia.

... pelted with batteries by the fans ...
there’s a franchise right-of-passage
for a head coach ... :laughing

:party

Can someone check on Mike after the Eagles win? :p

I have been saying for some time that they would win. It is silly to me that the bookies did not see it coming. Minnesota was the team best equipped to beat them and they steamrolled them 2 weeks ago.

I don't think I've ever seen as aggressive a game plan as Pederson presented. Does that guy have a wheelbarrow to cart his balls around or whut?

They call Rivera Riverboat Ron, but I just had the feeling for the whole game that Pederson had a "we made it here, so what the hell what we try" attitude.

THe NBC missing-in-action reporting on Malcolm Butler was pathetic. What is the frickin story and when do we get to find out?

He was "sick"...

Maybe BB didn't like Butler mouthing off about being in 3 Super Bowls in 4 years? But, whatever the reason, pretty sure he's done as a Patriot.

Dorenbos’ story just goes to show
the constant talk of the Eagles’
family-like atmosphere
is genuine.

... god bless Philadelphia! :thumbup

(... meanwhile, the New York papers
run stories about poop-eating Eagles fans,
and Californians on BARF tell us
how onions on cheese steaks should be prepared ... :laughing)
