Undercover CHP at protests, locked and loaded?

Look back up to my post about the Internet

You guys want me to imply some more? Any rioter in that group that hides behind the front lines while throwing shit, or vandalizes public and private property while no one other than other protestors can see them, is a coward.

This is true. I've been amazed and shocked at the behavior of the mobs in Oakland. And glad the police are there.

Btw the hippies leave by 9pm, I'm sure you can find an article about that on the Internet somewhere

No, no, no, no. They're just Americans exercising their right to do whatever they want whenever they want to whoever they want.

The sad truth is that repeated demonstrations at Oakland have repeated instances of violence, thuggery, destruction of private property, and attack on individuals and property. That's why the police are there. Some of you guys don't seem to get this. This is my community. If you want to protest, don't tear it up and burn it down. If you do, I hope you get caught. Every protest attracts these guys.

Soap and water repels hippies. :thumbup

I haven't been to any of the recent protests, but I have been to many of the Occupy Oakland protests. The vast majority of protesters are idealistic youth. But I have seen the dark side of the event as well. They are punk ass cowards who don't care about the issues. It's a damn shame that the average protester tolerates that behavior.

But I also think that the way the police line up and stand there kind of invites that kind of thing. Why not go into the crowd in uniform in small groups? That way you could catch or prevent vandals.

The fact that police are in the area does NOT invite anything. Why do you say that. Do you break out in violence when you see a cop?

Because like man- when the police are like there and stuff- it's like entrapment, they are forcing people to violence by their mere presence. :rofl

How can you acknowledge there are people in a crowd willing to throw bottles and rocks at cops, then suggest the cops should just walk freely and peaceably among the crowd?

I also wonder why people think mass protests that always attract violence are effective? Seems to me they project an overall negative message.

Sadly, most of the people in the protests get a huge emotional lift from participating in them. They feel they are doing something positive for others and feel virtuous and good. Even if the opposite is true.

well, if nothing else, this protest technique du jour of shutting down freeways is getting people to pay attention, so apparently it is doing some 'good'.

it's not just happening here either.

I mean that the way they line up it's like they are in opposition to the protest. They create an us vs them situation. They make themselves an easy target, almost inviting the crowd to throw stuff at them. I'm not saying that it's right, its just human nature especially when you got a large angry crowd.

We all know that the small minority of violent protesters hide in the crowd. If the cops were moving through the crowd they wouldn't be able to hide.

Matt- how about we dress you up in Poh-leece riot gear and you go mingle amongst a violent crowd and let us know how it works out for you?

Because the average protestor would be too scared to confront these "cowards" and will require the assistance of the very people they are protesting against to protect them when the tables have turned!

And isnt this thread started by the fact that a very small group of cops were in the crowd to prevent vandals? Yeah, they werent in uniform, but that didnt stop an aggressive behavior when the crowd found out they were undercover cops. Being in uniform probaly wouldnt have stopped anything.

And since you are an active participant, let me ask you this...what has been your personal experience with police brutality that you find yourself amongst these protestors? Have you been a victim? An unjust ticket does not count. Are your emotions based on countless media accounts of an incident? Media are mind controllers. Remember ebola? I bet you were scared by their stories about that too, but probably havent given it a second thought since ferguson blew up. But dont worry, the media attention will die and the bandwagon protestors will once again go about their daily grind not giving it a second thought that a cop is making a stop on that gangbanger while youre wondering where happy hour is after work.

And for you oaklanders, how the hell does the city afford to pay for all this protesting year after year? Is it all federally reimbursed?

This comes to mind

Not even full riot gear, regular uniform. And it's not a violent crowd, it's a mostly peaceful crowd with a handful of violent coward using it as cover.

Come stand 20 wide against 300 and tell me who the cowards are. Once again, once they drop below 100 they panic and scatter because theyre losing their anonymity

I've faced down dozens of uniformed bullies such as yourself alone, letting them know exactly what I think of them and what they are doing. Now then, tell me again what I will or will not do. And who the real cowards who need backup are.
