Walking Dead Season 4 (spoilers)

OK... I admit it... I am weak.... I did the Google search.... got nothing good or telling... just a lot of guessing....

JUST FYI

There's some shit that's in the books that maybe just hasn't happened yet on TV.

True... not sure if society could handle some of the shit in the comic books. Everyone lost their minds when the kid was shot in the head.

I have a feeling Terminus has guards that they couldn't see. Maybe snipers out of view? Maybe they've even got folks hidden out past their perimeter checking on people coming in and have the gates unlocked when they arrive. It probably leads to a more calm entrance, if they aren't having guns pointed at them asking to surrender their arms in this "safe" place.

I'm real interested in this next episode, as this last one was one of the better ones this season.

1. Wtf @ "we ran low on ammo and couldn't shoot them all blah blah blah" from Maggie...then their whole group does full mag dumps on the zombies?

2. Foreshadowing - Daryl talked to Beth a couple episodes back about how he just did whatever his brother said to - essentially "I'm a badass compared to you guys, but I tend to follow the alpha when there's someone more badass than me". Now we see him in a group full of people like his brother, but where he could somewhat resist his brother / deal with his brother before now he's outnumbered and outgunned. Beth = his muse? Balancing agent? Call back to the good side?

3. Terminus...ahhhh terminus. Yeah.
- name/logistics of maps on the train tracks etc - that's a lot of time and effort that I imagine would be on ALL the routes drawn on the map and not just the conveniently located ones the groups found. Which points to a large group. Which points to large logistics problems. And lots of people who may not get along. Remember the governor's little township? And how much trouble that was?
- as others pointed out, the place is quiet...TOO quiet...on walking in and nothing is secure, no bodies, no people...even the prison had walkers stumbling into the outside and that was a prison where they'd cleared the residents. An end of line massive railway hub? Yeah, I'd expect a LOT more people/bodies/etc. guards. Patrols. Barricades. If the groups waltzed right in, why couldn't the walkers? How do you promise safety without security or the ready means to defend yourself (caches of spears and such like they had at the prison)?
- when they walked in and it said lower weapons, you will be met - I half expected an ambush, confiscation of weapons and supplies, females taken, men killed.
- agree about cannibals. Would explain the lack of people and bodies, and where the large coffin size BBQ got its meat. It's a bit of a horror movie/zombie/end of world cliche. Remember book of Eli? I'm just wondering if they stick to living flesh or if they eat the undead as well - and if so, will we see telltale signs (again, book of Eli - hands shake, discolored skin, etc for those who consumed human flesh).
- everything looked WAY too staged on the way in - obviously a facade but how deep? Again, where is the fortified portion of terminus?

I'm only halfway thru the last episode, but in my next fight, you can have Daryl. I'll take Rick

I was hoping for more action in the last episode until October :( Granted Daryl's traveling companions met an excellent death I was just hoping for more.

And terminus, damn. Yuppie cannibals, I saw that as soon as they walked in. KILL THEM I was screaming (well I was thinking it very loudly) Did anyone catch that glimpse of skeletons in that caged area as they were running?

When you look at the whole season, there wasn't much you could do with the last episode in terms of action.

The midseason finale was obviously the action high when the Governor shows up with a tank and scatters the group.

I knew they would come back together (almost) but they had to leave the mystery so we see who to Rick's group will battle with next year.

But on that note, I was very shocked to see Rick's group get so easily trapped.

If you were to surveil a site, I wouldn't look it over for an afternoon and see nothing, then decide to walk in.

Especially when they were running through shot-up open space, I was like, wow, someone else must have got blasted.

Since the zombies were not on top of them, I would have hidden and watched another group enter and see what happened to them.

But the wild card is Tyresse and Carol. They should be involved with Rick's escape next season. I was even thinking, given all the flashbacks, they caught up with Rick before they entered Terminus and it wasn't shown.

i knew the map looked too much like a damn spider web!

i love ricks episode ending quote though "they messed with the wrong people"

From Rick's perspective, I still haven't figured out Terminus at all.

Like those wooden boxes by the fence line that had blood splatter? Maybe I would look inside one.

Or why is that the prison had zombies on the fence every day, and Terminus looks clean as a whistle.

Lots of questions...

yeah, you would think with gunfire like they let off while leading them to the train car it might attract some attention:wtf

and they were really about to let that fucking coward take carl...soooooooooooooooooooo glad they got it so crucially! and rick taking a bite out of crime...:devil best part of the show!

Great Episode!! The only thing that pissed me off was the stupid flashbacks. That was a buch of filler BS!!

I almost wish the fight scene with Daryls group, would have been more well lit and not over so fast. Boy, it was great to see those guys get off'ed. What scum. Poor Carl, or should we call him Carrol now? J/K!!!

You are right, Ricks guys should have done more homework, and watched that place a little longer before going in.

At the moment when Rick was in line for the Bar B Q lunch, did he notice someones hands shaking? That one lady looked to be rocking back and forth..?

I loved the episode, but it seemed as though the writers were in a rush to go on a vacation. 15 more minutes of this show would have been great, instead of all the stupid flashbacks.

I had to rewind the Rick/Daryl/Claimers fight scene because i was laughing so loud when Rick took the bite out of Joe's neck. Then yelling "BOOM! HEADSHOT!" when Michonne turned the gun on her guard.

Oh, gee, what a surprise, Terminus isn't what they thought it would be. I initially was mad that Rick didn't kill Gareth when the firefight started, but I guess without a leader the Termites might have just killed them in the courtyard instead of herding them to the train car.

A guy at work has the first two compendiums of the comic book. I've already read the first one. I'm debating if I want to "read ahead" of the show to see what the comic book does with Terminus.
