This town is a bunch of dumbasses. They recognized the incompetence from the start but played along, and look where it got them. Methinks the takeover is coming.

they are a bunch of cowards... the way they "survive" is by letting people get taken by walkers... wow. crazy. Rick and Co are gonna be PISSED when they hear about Noah and how that guy was about to leave Glenn behind...and after he saved dude...

overall I feel like the society that has formed is not going to survive without people like rick...

Hopefully Rick doesnt think too much with his lil rick...
 
Yes but you have to consider that at one time Rick and his group used to be like Deanna's. Compassionate, kind, and willing to take anyone new in. Now they're all stone-cold killers. The show made that apparent last night when the preacher broke the news to Deanna.
 
true, but how do you survive that long and not get a lil hardened by circumstances...

also.... how much beer do they have. Seems a bit silly that the doctor guy is an alcoholic. who is rationing off beer to him where that would become a problem.

The preacher is going nutters. Remember he locked himself in his church and let his flock die to his own self preservation. He has less compassion than Rick and his crew. No doubt they are seasoned killers but they still have some humanity in them, like when Glen was appalled that those two were getting their rocks off torturing that walker they chained up.\

Last but not least remember the confession that douche made while he was impailed? It was him and the politician's son that killed 4 of their own on one of their excursions and they said they got eaten by walkers.

As a zombie connoisseur I enjoy a good getting ate scene. They are usually about 15 seconds. Those two scenes last night seemed like a couple minutes each. Although it did look like Aiden the masichist enjoyed it.
 
Wow, that was beautiful. Last night's episode seemed like it was directed by Romero himself!

Seemed to me some of the best eating on the show to date, and you know Glenn is even more scarred for life having been forced to watch most of it. If it's even possible for Capt. Brass Ones to attain any more 'scars for life'. If anything the brass ones just expanded a little, and he just got a little meaner and more psycho along the way. I think without Maggie in his life Glenn would have gone savage by now. Instead I think Glenn just hasn't reached his final form yet. Though technically none of them have. :teeth

Interesting you should say that Pete...I'm getting the feeling that Glenn might start taking the role of Rick...or Rick's role if something happens to Rick.

There's something off about these people...that they cannot do anything for themselves and thus, how did they end up surviving this long? Possibly a cell for something bigger?

Also, remember Rick's group always tends to take one or a few people from the groups they encounter. Noah's gone, so who will they take from this group? Deanna? The blond Rick wants to bang?
 
Well it is an interesting mix of super survivors and the meek who were able to isolate and bunker themselves.

One problem with fictional badasses is the viewer assumes everyone is a badass.

Rick is a badass. He kicks out Carol and she survived no problem. They meet Abraham and he is a killer. So are the bad guys likes the Governor.

But it is interesting to meet the less capable. The scrounger was an evil coward, but the construction boss was just panicky and incompetent. After he hands the reigns to Abraham.

It is good to see exactly how Rick's group have lived so long by contrast.

They'll take the blonde and the kid after killing the abusive husband/dad. Carol will end up training the kid to be cold like her.
