He's got a real future in "knife making" if his "crashing bikes" plan doesn't pan out....My boys latest knife creation. Made as a gift for the guy that owns the taquaria that he frequents.

It will not keelThat is some nice knife work makes me want to go get a propane forge and anvil and start banging away.
Went to a flea market this weekend that my daughter was selling baked goods at and saw a stand with some knives on display and was like damn you could see forging issues all over them. cracks in the blades and all kinds of issues that would get them kicked off Forged in Fire.

Mine is 14 and starting to feel the power of his big boy body. So far my old man strength can hold him off but, my days numbered. Im learning to stay on his good side.Mine could easily throw me across the fucken room.
...but he never would. That's why I love him.![]()

He’s well aware we have no assets.Play the "I'll take you out of the Will if you do that" card.
Of course he might just knock you off realizing the Will has yet to be changed!![]()
Yep, heat gun. The first mistake was using material just a little too thick, and when heating on one side it will cup rather quickly (1-2 min). Galvanized sheet metal (for roofing) kinda saved the day for making forms. It's easy to bend into the shape needed, then reinforce, can be heated, and the plastic needs to be firmly clamped down across the entire shape. If it is a small bend (like a curve on a 1" radius), that is much easier. I gave up on glues and solvents and have small bolts holding it together (the windscreen also needed to be shaped). The upside of working with polycarbonate is infinite retries and any scratching and hazing buffs out easily. So did you heat and shape it with a heat gun? Did make "molds" or presses or whatever?
