I'm getting some of that pnw type mist right now, might be able to light off the big burn pile tomorrow. :)

I knew it. All I had to do was arrange to get my bike out if the shop. Now that it's fixed, we can count on a full winter. You're all welcome.

Call me a poos all you want, riding in the rain is a lot of extra hassle and not worth it to me. :x

Get a dirt bike, used to hate rain with a passion (because of work). Now I'm just confused inside

At first I liked no rain because it means I can ride to work every day.

But now I am actually worried.

Why don't they start ramping up the cost of water supply and demand style until the demand drops off?

I read the Governor's report this morning regarding water. I wish I hadn't. It's really, really bad.

did you read the part where he said it may require everyone to turn the water off while you brush your teeth? :laughing

On with the Diversion Tunnels! :later

We used to really, really look forward to the first rain of the year, get the dust down, good traction, always put new tires on before the first rain. Good times.

american toilets ARE a massive waste of water. something as simple is seperate settings for piss and shot makes a hige differnce

Some of the newer ones strike a good balance between low water usage and an effective flush. We recently installed ones that do have a two stage flush; lower volume if you press and release the flush handle and higher volume if you hold the handle until the flush I'd complete.

I did this with the toilets in my house, it was only $20 in parts per toilet. Took maybe 10 minutes per toilet to do.

This might be in our future this summer since a large amount of PG&E's energy comes from Sierra hydropower. Not a fun day to work for Brazil's grid operator, ONS

Just put an object like a brick or large water bottles in the tank to eat up volume
for a cheap easy way to save water.

Snowing here right now (about 4k' on I-80). :party
