“Blazing Saddles and it’s HORRORS”. Movie review.

Honestly those things aren't even connected to whether or not something is funny, but if Tyler is upset about laughing at something that's caused him pain and is having trouble articulating it, or wants to convey the dislike for it without revealing things that are too personal, then I'd personally find it tough to give him a hard time for it, even if he didn't handle it well.

Do NOT view this clip. It is the author and director of said horrible un-woked movie. There is yiddish in it, so get ready to take notes. This guy laughs at himself and everyone else, just like other actors in the movie. And he is married to Anne Bancroft, for woke sake! Do you think Cleavon Little is a crazy black racist? Why would he do the movie? Hmmmm?

Oh and that dumb reviewer said the racism starts within three minutes, but quotes from a line about thirty minutes into the movie. Dimwit is dimwitted. One of my all time favs, WITHOUT reservation.

and pretty much every movie Mel Brooks has been involved in can be misinterpreted the same way as Bugs Bunny cartoons. The humor is quick, poignant, and sharply critical of the day and age in which we live.
I suppose if one goes out searching for offense he/she can find it. How one poses humor makes all the difference.

A joke about a rape victim is not funny. A joke at the expense of the moron who "likes" rape, can be :dunno

True, but I'm betting the comments hurt her feels. I'm betting she was expecting the majority to side with her and that she'd be held in high regard for her social justice warrior achievement. Backfired big time.
 
There's probably a generational difference about this movie. 20 yr olds who watched this movie when it first came out probably found it hella funny. 20 y.o.s today might have a different reaction.

I was born 5 years after this movie was made and probably saw it as a kid because my dad rented it for us. We found it funny then too but probably because we didn't get it

I am commenting on the fact that the girl (I am assuming is young) who wrote the blog might have a very contemporary pc view on what classifications of people can be used as a vehicle for humor. Right now, you can't make fun of any classification.

Anybody ever met or know Tyler? If you haven't, maybe you can't understand where he's coming from. Ever read any of his posts prior to today?

Not everyone has to explain their real life in order to have everyone understand where his perspective is.
