“Blazing Saddles and it’s HORRORS”. Movie review.

certain jokes in Blazing Saddles have become less funny for me over the years because old white women saying the N-word are still alive and too common. I wish we could look back on that movie as a society and be relieved that we dont deal with any of that shit anymore. pipe dream prob.

thankfully there are other jokes that are more funny because I get them now, prob 20yrs after I first saw the movie. so it all balances out I guess.

This is a sad commentary. Society dictates what is or is not funny at the time. If you're an independent thinker, you judge things for yourself.

Met him a few times back in the Snellbucks days. He's gotta be in his 40's.

Seemed like a cool dude back then, but his last few posts I've read, he didn't just sip at that SJW/White Guilt Kool-Aid, he's up to his neck in that quicksand.

As far as Blazing Saddles goes, how far back do we sanitize history to make it palatable to these fragile youth? Don't like it, don't watch it...

Dog pile aside, the argument is the same. Racial, sexual, and gender shaming is always abhorrent. I've always coached my son about tolerance and I've chastised him when he's crossed the line. Yet I'm vilified based on my race, sexual preference and gender. Nice. As much as SJW want me to feel irrelevant, not sorry, I don't. Standing up to bullshit isn't shameful, and I teach my son that as well.

I knew him well from when I lived in the city. He’s been a self-proclaimed SJW authority for quite some time. Just another white guy telling the rest of us how racist we are. White guilt is strong with that one.
