I noticed that quick hand which LaFleur rolled with nicely. I want to go with youthful indiscretions on him. Hopefully he’ll mature in to becoming honorable. As much as I want to root for a Bears return to greatness, I cannot support the current organization after the behavior of Ben Johnson after the Packers game.
His showing is one of a Team that deserves disgrace.
Fuck that. I dont want Tomlin as a head coach of the Bengals. I'm not high on Z Taylor and never have been but Tomlin is hugely overrated as a head coach. Since Zach Taylor has been the Bengals coach they've gone 5-2 in the playoffs and been to a super bowl. In that same time period the Steelers have gone 0-5 and lost every game by double digits. Pitt has won 68 regular season games since 2019 to Taylor's 52. If Burrow had stayed healthy for the two complete seasons that he missed in that time frame I'm sure the numbers would have been better. The "never had a losing season" is impressive but other than that....bleh.No chance. He's gonna go to CBS for a year or two and then probably Cincy if/when Zac Taylor is axed.
and apparently because he stepped down, he remains under contract technically, so either Pit would have to void his remaining deal or a team will have to trade for his rights
He had Roethlisberger for 2 of those games. Pickett for one. Russell Wilson for one, and Aaron Rodgers for one. That's two HOF QB's for sure. Maybe three.Taylor had Burrow at QB.
Tomlin has dragged Kenny Pickett and Justin Fields to the playoffs.
You mean he had HOF castoffs after they had their HOF years. Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers have not been the same since they left their original teams. He had Roethlisberger for 2 of those games. He picked Pickett. That's on Tomlin. Taylor had to rebuild the Bengals in 2019.. A team so removed from talent they only won 2 games. in three seasons he took them to the SuperBowl. Tomlin took over a team that had won the SB two seasons prior to his arrival, and only got them to two more shows in 20 years. Taylor is not a great head coach, but neither is Tomlin. Tomlin is way overrated.
At their worst they were all better than Pickett ever was. Again, Tomlin the magnificient couldnt get to more than two shows in 20 years? WITH a hof QB in his prime for most of his tenure? And hadnt won a playoff game in the last decade? That's a great head coach? The fuck it is.You mean he had HOF castoffs after they had their HOF years. I was shocked to see this today about Tomlin but yeah he was getting long in the tooth.
I mean you can say that about a bunch of coaches. Look at Harbaugh he had full prime Lamar and got squat but he is going to still be a highly sought after coach. Sometimes its just environment look at Andy Reid although I still think that overhyped dude got super lucky with Mahomes/Kelce and it wasn't so much the coach as transcendent players(although I think he missed his calling as a comedic element in commercials). You can't argue with Tomlin's win record and someone will want him as a proven winner who maybe needs a push to get farther. Read an article where Arthur Smith has been OC for his whole tenure maybe it was just bad OC he couldn't get rid of and that is the change he needs who knows. Sometimes retreads work out in the NFL sometimes they don't but all owners seem to be willing to take the chance on them.At their worst they were all better than Pickett ever was. Andy Reid has been to 6 SuperBowls and won three of them and has only been a head coach for about 5 or 6 seasons more than Tomlin or Harbough....who is also overrated. Andy Reid is more successful and he drafted Mahomes and Kelce, so totally earned or not he gets credit for doing so, and credit for their subsequent success. Reid is a great HC. Tomlin and Harbaugh are not. Theyre just good head coaches everyone thinks are great because they lasted so long in one place.I mean you can say that about a bunch of coaches.
