Supposedly, the new 2017 Bentley Bentayga pre sold like 6000 units, before anyone has ever even so much has test driven it. If that many people lined up for a $200k+ 600hp SUV, then Caddy certainly has a market out there to sell an Escalade V to. Blatant excess, and just screams 'Murica, but I really hope they make it.

We have a 2016 MDX and it's great. The tranny is barely ok (it's way better in Sport mode but still an automatic), but everything else is great. We have an exchange student living with us and we frequently use the 3rd row.

I think a lot of the pre sales are speculators putting deposits down.

While I do see plenty of "ballers" driving their G Wagon, Escalade, Range Rover, etc rolling on 24s around here...I easily see way more of those (minus the ground pounder wheels) just being driven around by wealthy soccer moms.

I rented a 2016 Caravan with stow and go seats, I loved that thing. I wouldn't bother trying to use an SUV as a family car the van is so much better in every way except "cool" factor (who cares anyway). It was surprisingly quick too even with 5 people in it.

I'm probably wrong but I thought you could order from Cadillac a Hennessy packaged escalade
 
Lots of bad reviews of Hennessy's delivery capability. You might be able to get that, but then again... maybe not.
 
Update.

We've decided on the XC90. About $15K more than what we wanted to spend, but after watching all the reviews and reading about the car - It seems well worth it, and I am happy with the decision.

In the process of moving, so we'll buy it in a few weeks.

If anybody can recommend a good Volvo dealer, i'm all ears. No BS a must, I am very well versed in buying new cars, so I can be somewhat indimidating.

Does that open a door for Honda to change your mind? Because the 2017 Acura MDX debuts at the NY auto show on the 23rd.
