Actor Elliot Page (formerly Ellen Page) comes out as Transgender

No dude. Not at all. He's a sweet kid who as far as I can tell from watching him grow up is just interested in being a kid. His parents have taken a ton of shit from mid west grandparents who think he's being "fagged up" and raised wrong. I'm pretty impressed with his football playing dad for just loving him how he is. So let me know how we are supposed to butt in correctly to label, shame or "correct" his behavior.

I think the best thing to do is go full California on their ass and only refer to anyone as Dude.

Honestly, generally speaking I'll call people whatever pronoun they want to be called. It's honestly not a big deal and it's the polite thing to do. It's one of the lowest bars you can clear of pro-social behavior, it's easier than wearing a mask at Costco.

Some times it is hard when dealing with people who have the Dragon Gender.

Drac, Dracs, Draco it can be hard to select the right pronoun application.

I think your perspective of the things you say and what you're debating on this particular issue would have been have been fine had you not said this.

I was with you but this post seems vindictive and not about the actual issue being discussed.

It's disorienting with the pronoun "they."

I do have the irritating habit of using the singular they unless I'm fairly confident of the individual's gender- so that means most of the regular posters in the sink get that treatment.

That's what I like about Tyler, you always know what they are up to!:thumbup

Corrected for singular.

A bit of a shock to realize that the people I'd always thought were uneducated are instead woke.

At least according to Merriam Webster and the AP Style guide, it's more proper to use the pluralized verb when using they/them pronouns to refer to an individual.

Interesting consideration.
