Actually, I prefer the regular Socom, I don't like a lot of stuff hanging off my rifles.
 
Ditto - I can't stand those ultra tactical wrap-around super rails. It doesn't look like there's anywhere left to hold on to the gun, unless you're wearing thick gloves. And who wants to have to wear thick gloves to go shooting?
 
Gun Show

Just in case anyone missed it there is a gun show at the Vallejo faigrounds today and Sunday. I'll be going to try and pick up some cheap ammo for the sks and m44.
 
I thought this weekend would be a waste, because I have to spend it in Fresno with my extended family to celebrate birthdays and stuff, and would miss the Vallejo gun show and Miwall, but low and behold, my brother-in-law discovered that there's a gun show out here this weekend! So we went this afternoon, and Miwall was here, too!

Admission was $8, I think Ratters said the Vallejo show admission was about the same. I got 3 bricks of hi-velocity .22lr, and small cases of .45 and .357.

Hooray, 2,000 more rounds of ammo for my pile! And bonus - daylight savings means 1 less hour of Fresno tomorrow!
 
Vallejo gun show is $8 admission. Went and picked up 200 of 7.62x39 for $22.50 :teeth.
 
Mine in 10 days. I know it's not the best .22LR, but I'm thinking of getting a P99 down the road:
