BARF Militia

BARF, I have a little idea that I'd imagine at least a few of you would be both interested in and have the spare cash to indulge in. It involves trusting each other though... ;)

Any advice and practice techniques for someone consistently shooting low and left with a handgun? While dry firing, sometimes I can see my front sight dip low left. When shooting, sometimes I anticipate recoil and flinch. I think part of the issue is tightening the hand while pulling the trigger and the other is not pulling the trigger straight back? Not sure how to correct these issues.

Hold gun with your dominant hand and point it at the target. Make sure that gun is in line with I your forearm. Shoot more one handed.

just more dry firing and trying to pull the trigger straight back. Also firm grip and not death grip. You already said it yourself, try not to anticipate recoil/boom. Prolly biggest thing that makes you jerk the trigger

my $0.02.

jerking, possible flinch. Anticipation either way....

firm grip not death grip.

consistent, correct, placement of booger hook on trigger.

focus on target / front sight. be a little surprised when the gun goes off.

repeat.

Don't let a flinch develop, hard habit to break. Do not hesitate to 'wimp it' and step down a caliber.

g'luck

i am going to be selling off a lot of long guns from my dad's collection soon and i was thinking of giving the barf militia first crack. would anyone be interested in a BAR, carcano, mosin nagant and a bunch of other ww2 era firearms?

Dibs on bottom right AK looking rifle! How much?

Thanks guys. I will keep practicing dry firing and shooting. Any recommendations for shooting instructions? Preferably around the South Bay or Peninsula but drive upwards of USI is ok.
