BARF Militia

I just picked up a 9mm Glock mag style lower and a Anderson Arms lower that I am getting ready to do the SBR Form1 paperwork on before the rule change.

we're allowed to have SBR in cali? how? i want a stock on my ar pistol so badly

No I migrated from Cali to a gun friendly state. I get all the goodies now. SBR and Suppressors. Can't wait to finish the 9mm build and put my suppressor on it. It is so awesome shooting the 1911 and M&P9 without ear protection.

I live the awesome California riding that I am missing through the site vicariously. It is all flat land here......:(

The only thing that could make that better is a third position on the selector switch.

If you're going there, get an MP5. You actually get 4 positions with those.

And not speaking of suppressed SBRs and machine guns, didn't you just get a CCW permit from San Joaquin? A friend out there, that you may even know is going to apply. It would be great to have someone local to help.

I applied. It's a 10-12 month wait for processing. It's pretty straight forward. The Sheriff's dept makes it somewhat easy to apply. Download both PDF's from the link below. Both PDFs have instructions on what to fill out and what not to fill out. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING until you drop off the paperwork. You have to call to set an appointment to drop off your paperwork. They only do those on Mondays. On the day of your appointment, you check in, fill out yet another form and wait. Someone will call you into an interview room and you'll go over all of the paperwork and sign everything in front of the investigator. Once all that is done, then you go wait in line to get your Livescan fingerprints done. All in, it's about an hour and forty-five minutes. After the fingerprints, then you wait. If they need help or have questions, have them get a hold of me.

Any chance for a non-resident CCW in Calif. for a fine, upstanding citizen?

if you work in a shall-issue county, id say give the sheriff a call. otherwise, if you dont work or live in calif, they will tell you to kick rocks.

in other news, i put a sig 1911 in jail yesterday. picture isnt my pistol, but its the same exact one

You can not get out of county CCW. You have to be resident of county of issue.

thats not what i hear

Sacramento County Sheriff Department Concealed Carry Permit Requirements:
1. Upon proof that the person applying is of good moral character
2. That good cause exists for the issuance
3. The applicant is a resident of the county to which they are applying or the applicant’s place of employment is within the city or county
4. The applicant has completed a course of training (16-24 hours)

im sure its different from county to county, so the same thing rings true from what i initially said, call the sheriff's department and ask them directly.

Employment license limited to the county of issue and needs to be renewed every 90 days. AFAIK. Unless something changed.

i'll just leave this here...
