BARF Militia

Has anyone checked out those CDNN Colt SP1 uppers, 20" chrome-lined and all that? they're brand new, they want $369 for one. I think it'd be a good deal if it came with bolt, charging handle, etc. but I doubt it. Don't know if it's such a good deal without that stuff, 'cause bolts and carriers and charging handles and lower parts kits and buttstocks add up :rolleyes

Oh, never mind then :teeth

Those links you posted above were awesome! I kinda want that HBAR 20" chrome-moly one...only $399 complete! CDNN has the detachable carry handle for $50, A2 stocks for about $20-30, and LPKs can be had for like $50..that would make my total around $450, versus $550 at Del-ton, and it'd be better :teeth

Thanks bro!
Now to find out how backordered they are!

Yeah cause if you're gunna spend that kinda money might as well get one of these

o0o0 niceee....have you seen teh AWS version of it? the whole barrel is the silencer....very nice rifle indeed...

miran, i would look at the stag 20" upper, for you build, with detachable carry handle,

you gotta look at those uppers that was on the link, because they DO NOT include bolts/carriers/charging handles, which adds like $150 rougly to the price. also make sure you get a quality detachable carry handle because you dont want a cheap ass sight.

i think the stag upper is a pretty damn good deal, and its built good. plus you get the right stuff like f-marked front sights and shit

and when you say "cdnn has a2 stocks for 20 bucks", id make damn sure it has a buffer tube, spring, buffer, and all the other hardware., because i highly doubt it has those things for that price.

Plus, I've decided to go with a 16" M4gery :p I'll just run the A2 receiver since I don't plan on spending madd chedda on optics

Does anyone know if Del-Ton is backordered on this stuff? I heard they were for a while, not sure what the status is now :confused

Nah, the thing I posted is just a replacement stock for the M1a. I figure it'll cost around $400-$500, though, and I can't see spending that much for just a new stock. :toothless

I have an LCW though, so I wouldn't get a Stag upper unless I got another Stag receiver (which I might). The finishes don't match so well

Have you soaked your Lauer lower in CLP yet? It makes a pretty big difference in the finish. Might match up better than you think. I bought Susan and Ameetec parts kit to with her Ameetec lower but had to soak both in clp to get the finish to match up. Looks good now.

If that thing is $400 I may just get it for the scout. I've been wanting a new stock but was looking at going walnut, but that would be a great setup, especially for using the Ampoint.

the difference in finish isnt that apparent, and who cares anyways seriously, your going to stick in a grey mag, and every peice of aftermarket bling will have a different tone finish.

i would highly reccomend getting a a3 upper with detachable carry handle over a a2 upper , more flexibility and a2 uppers arent exactly cheap,

Ha, I was just about to post that same link. Does seem like a great deal.

Though to rub it in to Miran a bit, here's a pic of my DPMS rail upper I got for $430. :teeth

Oh, it's resting on the other upper I ordered. :p

eta- it's on a registered lower, btw.

Ahhhhh, you jerk! :twofinger :laughing :cry

There's a CMP match at Chabot this weekend, anyone else going? I'm going to the 11:00 relay. Should finish around 2:00, and I'll do some regular shooting then.

Quite definately a possibility.

OK, I ordered a 16" with an A2 receiver, M4 stock, etc etc. Didn't want to fuck with flat-tops and paying $75 extra for a detachable carry handle :laughing :cool Can't wait!

I wanna get an A2 upper but I don't care for the standard handgaurd. Has anyone seen the A2 upper with an aluminum knurled free float tube and a standard gas block front sight? and a 20" barrel. I'm concerned it might look funny but I really don't want a standard handgaurd
