Zefflyn, I'll definitely check those links out. Though I was thinking of having the sights installed by someone as I can't really justify a one time buy for a modification. Unless someone has the tools I can borrow? I'll pay you back with beer and food? :laughing

Ok, I have 3 questions...

1: Does anyone know the outside diameter of a AR/M15 Gas Tube?
2: Does anyone know where to get an M4 (14.5" length one) cheap?
3: Does anyone have one they are going to toss out, or dont need, willing to sell cheaply.. ANy length applies, I can cut it down.

I'm working on making my Airsoft gun look legit enough to anger some of the milsim'rs.

arfcom classifies would be the most likely place to find cheap used parts online.

I just measured mine- 0.169" which doesnt work out to any whole millimeters or nice fractions. Nearest fraction is 11/64" at 0.1719" which is probably within the error of my crappy calipers. Check at a bolt and plumbing store. You can buy aluminum tube used for brake lines and such.

Edit- del-ton has them for $11 under Barrel Parts -> Small Parts

Also, can anyone recommend a really cheap scope? My roomate is building a 20" plinker. I understand why you should spend lots on a scope, but this is just a cheap range toy for 150-400yds. Looking for something in the $150-$300 range.
 
I used to have a fascination with single shot bolt action handguns. Sort of like the XP-100, but I have seen other manufacturer's with larger calibers. They look incredible with a bipod and scope.

Are these still made?
Are they legal in California?
And if yes to both of the above, how does one get one?
 
Hmmm, I think Savage built one a few years ago. I think most people do the Thomson Contender right now because it is so versatile. You might want to check out gunbroker or gunsamerica.com and if you find one have it transfered to a dealer here. There are no Cali legal issues with single shots/bolt actions.

Ever hear of an outfit called H-S Precision. They do custom rifles and stuff. They actually have an awesome take-down sniper rifle. Truly BADASS.
