I got a surprise from the brown truck of happiness, too!
No real photos yet, but here are a couple of stock ones. Mmmm, CRKT Hissatsu. Completely impractical, but an oh-so-lovely 12 inches of deadly in the hand.

A ??? for all you gun guru's out there. If you had to choose between 3 different calibers of bullets for an auto loading rifle which one would you choose? 223. , 6.8mm or a 7.62x39 and Barrel length 16 inches or 18 1/2 inches ?

Aris, of Triple A Sporting Goods, in Vallejo, has at least two of them. Selling them for $30 each. With Solano County tax, that's about $32.25. But he sold me one for $25! :banana

7.62x39 18.5" 9 to 1 Twist ratio will do fine for most work. CONSIDERING... The cost of .223 and 6.8mm ammo, not to mention 6.8mm build costs.

Somebody supposedly target practicing in or near Yosemite started a big fire.

"An out-of-control wildfire burning Sunday near an entrance to Yosemite National Park has destroyed eight homes and is threatening thousands more as flames forced authorities to cut power to the park.

"The blaze has charred more than 18,000 acres since Friday as wooded slopes ignited amid hot, dry conditions that have plagued California for months. The fire was completely uncontained Sunday morning."

Yay! Enjoy! It's so worth it! Nemo and I had an amazing time at their 4 day defensive handgun class...
We're trying to figure out when and how we can go back...
