BARF Militia

I saw a fire start in a mostly dirt berm at a pistol match. Just plain jane .45, no tracers, no muzzle contact. I think it was from the bullets hitting the rocky ground first, before skipping up into the dry weeds on the berm. Shit happens.

A ??? for all you gun guru's out there. If you had to choose between 3 different calibers of bullets for an auto loading rifle which one would you choose? 223. , 6.8mm or a 7.62x39 and Barrel length 16 inches or 18 1/2 inches ?

7.62x39 is my vote. 6.8spc is WAY expensive unless you plan on reloading. .223 is getting expensive. Cheapest I've seen is about .35 per round. You can still get 7.62 for under .20 per round. The only way to get good at shooting is to practice often. Buying expensive ammo can put a damper on your finances REAL quick.

Yeah, I won't get to try mine out until next Tuesday. :banana

At Walmart I picked up a box of the Winchesters. Another customer there cautioned against getting the Remingtons -- too dirty. He also said he loves his Philippines-made Rock Island .45 -- so much better than his Kimber.

That's the most redneck thing I've ever seen

It's scary when Russians do redneck things, because they take it to a level Billy Bob never would've thought of :wow :rofl

Boy them germs, sure do get offended easily.

Besides, a redneck, would have used a 4x scope of some sort. Or a EO, Acog. A "cheapie" reddot, just isn't hillbilly enough. :thumbup
germs? Miran is not German, he only wishes he were :twofinger

Yay! Enjoy! It's so worth it! Nemo and I had an amazing time at their 4 day defensive handgun class...
We're trying to figure out when and how we can go back...

Did you get a Rocketman holster? How do you like it?

I also have a leftover 10-round G19 magazine that I didn't manage to get into Nemo's hands before I moved. If you PM me an address, I'll mail it over.

Speaking of knives (ok, a little late), here's the WASPKnife:

As divers, we all know what the effects of compressed gas are underwater. Our training teaches us that our lungs would burst from over-inflation if we held our breath and rose to the surface. This principle is key to the effectiveness of the WASP Injection System.

This weapon injects a freezing cold ball of compressed gas, approximately the size of a basketball, at 800psi nearly instantly. The effects of this injection will drop many of the world's largest land predators. The effects of the compressed gas not only cause over-inflation during ascent when used underwater, but also freezes all tissues and organs surrounding the point of injection on land or at sea. When used underwater, the injected gas carries the predator to the surface BEFORE blood is released into the water. Thus giving the diver added protection by diverting other potential predators to the surface.
