BARF Militia

That is one neat pistol...I would get on if it wasn't for the fact that I already own a 337PD that I have yet to shoot.

looks like this

I was actually looking at those, until I found out Ruger was coming out with the LCR. Being that my other revolvers are also Ruger, I thought I'd keep it in the family. Plus, I like the innovation in the design. You can really tear this thing down easily for cleaning.

BTW, why do you have so many guns that you've never fired? If you need someone to "walk your dogs" for you, let me know :teeth

That's cool..I think that LCR is a cool concept...was just gonna buy it for the sake of buying it..but then, that's what got me in trouble before with too much.

I did go shooting tonight.

I think why I have so much is probably because once I get into a hobby, I tend to over indulge. But for this particular matter, I wanted to really learn about shooting and guns.

I get lots of offers for "breaking in" my stuff...and usually there's a waiting list:thumbup

I think I'll start pairing down pretty soon.

Big5 M24/47

What is known about Big 5's M24/47s? Who or what is "Interstate"? I'm possibly going to pick one up for myself and one for my son.

I know the feeling. It is kinda hard to part with a gun(s), but i simply look at it for what it's worth. If ya don't shoot it or don't like it anymore, why keep it just to say ya have a lot of guns? I put a GSG-5 up here a few days ago and nothing. Not even a nibble. Decided to put it up on CGs and it was sold in 2 minutes. Doing the transfer tomorrow. Granted i didn't ask alot for it (ask high and come down like many do) or think my gun was the only one in the world made of enriched uranium. Sold it for about what i paid for it. But it was an impulse buy and after having it a while, i knew it would just sit and not get used. Soooo....the money will go to something new to shoot and something i know i enjoy shooting (1911s).

I do have 3 guns i will never sell and they will be passed down to my son. My very first own .22 rifle from when i was just a little kid. My first semi-auto handgun and my dads .357 revolver. They have no price on them. Everything else could be had for the right price.

We just got them in recently. Interstate is just an importer, like Century. The M24/47s are Yugoslavian rifles based on the Czech Brno VZ24 Mauser rifle, rearsenaled (rebuilt) after WWII. Buy whichever one has the best bore. I have two in my store but I haven't had a chance to pull a brush and a couple patches through it yet, though I just might when I get to work tomorrow :p

<edit> I own one that I bought while they were still imported by Century (and sold by Big 5 for ~$150), and it's an awesome rifle, with a great action. Mine has about 50% bluing remaining, and I refinished the stock myself. Pretty easy. I might buy the Birchwood Casey rebluing kit one of these days and get to working on it.

Do you guys think a trade of a Sig p6 for a Norinco SKS is fair?

What is the going price for Norinco SKS's?

Hello Son:

Father's day is this Sunday; I'm looking forward to that air rifle! :rofl:rofl

How's it going? Still too busy for the range on Tuesday nights? I finally shot my correct grade H&R Garand last week. What a nice rifle, I think I prefer it over my other two.:rolleyes

Thanks for the info Miran. I know about the weapon but was unsure of the "Interstate" term. Would you mind if I come in and bring my headspace gauges to use on the ones you have in stock? I bought an M48 from you some years ago (a cherry one, thank you very much) and purchased the gauges for it.

Come on Mike, why do you insist on posting that you aren't going to buy a gun. You should only post if you bought one. We don't need status updates on your non-buying. :thumbdown

Like this example:
I'm picking up a Kimber Ultra CDP II and a Saiga 7.62x39 16" in less than a week. :teeth
