BARF Militia

Hey now, are you saying I should do so or it was presumptuous of me to do so? Kelly showed me the one on the rack but didn't mention your hidden jewel. If I had only known I would have whipped out cash money there and then!:p

Wait, you bought the one on display? I think we have one or two more in the back. You can still swap for another until your pick-up day. I probably won't buy it, anyway.

15th is a Saturday. ;)

I'll probably be there by 10. I'll post it up in the social gatherings forum when it gets closer.

Well Santa, I'll be there. Thanks again for the ammo. :teeth

Thank you CMP! I just received a 5.46 million Springfield from the CMP. I had requested a service grade, and wrote a note requesting nice parkerizing and nice stock. I hit the jackpot on this one! The rifle is unfired, except for the CMP's test firing. Absolutely no wear anywhere on the metal. The stock has some storage marks, a few dings and two deep gouges. She will clean up really well though. It's resting in the safe tonight next to the Correct Grade H&R I received back in February. Overall this rifle is in at least as nice condition as the Correct Grade, and once I swap out the trigger group (it came with a complete H&R group) with a virgin Springfield one it too will be correct grade. The kicker is it cost me $400.00 less than the H&R Correct Grade. :party

I'll have to drag all the Garands up to SVRG one night and have a Garand fest.

No, I didn't buy one. But if the one you have sequestered in the lockup is on offer, I will be down to do the paperwork. Let me know!:thumbup

I haven't bothered to look at what's left in there. They sold some of them while I was gone. Did we only look at Mausers when you were here or did we look at Mosins too? You're welcome to come take a look if you have time. I'll verify which guns I have when I go in today at 12:30

Too bad, now I need something to do tomorrow (Sunday). I went to the Salinas Airshow today so couldn't come in. The one you had "reserved" for yourself is sold then? Iwas not in the market for a Mosin due to the fact I don't really want another caliber rifle, but at this price and the apparent condition I should not pass one up. I think. :wtf My son would enjoy it even if I don't. Would I be allowed to walk into the store with a Garand (in a case, of course, and identified beforehand)? I just got one from CMP that has to be seen to be believed. I think you may enjoy checking it out.:thumbup

You can come in with a rifle slung over your shoulder, I'm not picky :laughing

one of our operations supervisors at corporate showed us a Big 5 Garand that they sent to a gunsmith for stock replacement...came back with this gorgeous, brand new walnut stock. It looked amazing.

You need to buy a Mosin for them. Even if you miss they'll go deaf and blind.

Not to mention singing all the hair off 'afore ya throw 'em in the pot! :toothless

Can I volunteer for some mutant gopher eradication duty? :sniper
Maybe I can find a zombie gopher somewhere in the mix! :grin
