Right, that's what I meant, dove season opener. If you don't mind, what are some often-overlooked must-haves for the dove hunter? I have a little section in my store where I set up the realtree folding stools/chairs, aluminum table, lunchboxes, insect repellant, emergency blanket, hunting boot, and dove bag. Anything else you think I should add that would help people get ready? :teeth

You pretty much got it..stock some Decoys and U'll be good.

I will be shooting at one of my 3k acre ranches where I'll even take a pig or shoot some varmints. So I'll bring even a pellet gun for plinking since I'll be there for till Wed

But my essential I do bring personally is

Babywipes
Allergy meds
Immodium
Matches
1watt LED flashlight
couple of knives

Any time.

Badass man... appreciate your service.

Picked up my S&W AR lower today...

Wilderness Unlimited?? Tell me more if you don't mind, I'm thinking about it.

I am assuming you are referring about buying access? I've never have done it as I always never pay and sometime they will pay me to shoot there.

For this place, I have a "Dad" who adopted me and basically introduced me and connected me up with hunting, fishing, or what not there. In addition, I have various other places. Perhaps I'm a lucky fella. This 3k acres is one ranch where we will set up to shoot and play as nobody else will be there....because it's a family tradition to gather my other brothers and have a hoot. We just came back from Crabbing, Fishing, Sand Dunes in Oregon a couple of weeks ago with them as well. Caught 180 crabs...it was epic. I'm suppose to go to Montana as well in Nov...but I seriously think I should kinda at least "work". On top of additional duck club access, pheasant access, or what not...I would love to win some type of monetary lotto (apparently I already got lucky with land lotto) to go do those things.

Total access I have is about 60-65k acres. But that's just a lot of land and I don't even go. The owners always ask, but I guess I'm a little busy. Heck I even have about 780 acres if I'm lazy off Sunol area I'm suppose to shoot and haven't got the chance. I lose track sometimes.

I also like shooting at additional 5k acres down in King City too. I still gotta take out a bunch of pigs there...but I've had no urge to shoot them really lately.

I have tried public also...and it's kinda ok....not.

Eventually I'll maybe pay for something like that..but I really don't see that in the near future.

Picked up a GSG-5 a few weeks ago. Already put 600 rounds through it in two trips to the range, this thing is a blast :teeth

hehe thanks man...whats the price set for it?

Perhaps I'm a lucky fella...

Ehhh... ya think??! :laughing Good for you but I'm jealous. I had to start from scratch - nobody in my family even owned a firearm, nevermind hunting. I have a part time hole at a club in Los Banos for ducks (and play refuge rat at other times), go to Dunnigan for pheasants (although I plan to try the Thunderhill club this year - did you know the hunting preserve surrounds the track?) and I have a guide in San Ardo I've used for boar.

My phone has yet to ring with someone wanting to give me free access to private land...

I wish I could buy it for you with my employee discount. 20% off is $80 :(

hehe thanks man...whats the price set for it?

Man you is fuckin up HUGE, going to school. Your education money is wasted... 20% - $80. There for 10% = $40. There for 100% price on rifle is $400. Now, granted eiz, is probably rounding up... Looks like the SKS is going for market value. :laughing

I started from scratch as well, I managed to get "adopted" because I did my leg work...I'm far from the silver spoon. I too have to work my way up...know the right people...and that's lots of leg work. But I knew I was passionate enough to pursuit what I really like to do. Just like you with afm right?

Isn't this a rerun of last semester's episode? Maybe you could make some money in syndication! :teeth
