Miran- Where is that range? You were able to shoot from the hip without someone yelling at you? Can you bump fire there? :teeth

I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to shoot from the hip, but the Rangemaster wasn't there, there was a dude about nine benches down shooting a Ruger 10/22, so I figured no one would care. I even extended the dreaded bayonet for some shots :wow
But it's kinda pointless to shoot from the hip if you're not bump-firing, so I stopped after half a mag.

The range is in Woodland, up here by Davis. No bump-firing..three seconds between shots. I was tempted but decided against it.

There was a guy with a musket (flintlock, baby) shooting when I showed up. He left soon afterwards, but man was that thing cool.

Project SKS Refinish is underway. Here's a before shot, as demonstrated by my brother.

I'll have some halfway through pics coming up in a couple hours when the paint dries.

It's a Kimber Custom 2 with a Wilson Ultra Thin exotic wood grips. Sorry I was going to post more pics but got side swiped when the phone rang.

p2000rt.jpg

great price too... Traders has it for $799 - even if they need to order one ;)

Rogue - did you get the grips locally? most places I have checked havent had much of a selection. Been thnking of new grips

Chuci - nice, even if it is not a .45 :p We need to set up another range day.

a 9mm (or .40) might expand, but a .45 won't shrink :laughing

Hey Bill,

I purchased the grips a few years back directly from Wilson Combat http://www.wilsoncombat.com/a_grips_exotic.asp . I have not seen any decent aftermarket grips besides the usual Hogue grips, Pearce, etc. at the stores .

What do you think about these?
