Been playing Titanfall a lot.
At level 14? Best weapon hands down is the first SMG. For attrition? Next best would probably be Smart Pistol because you can quickly drop a whole minion spawn. Also at the start of the match when there are lots of minions, suppressors will keep you alive.
At the start of the match make sure you have a pilot load out with minion detector as part of your kit. It makes a big difference in getting your Titan on the ground -fast-.
The Quad rocket is good for killing players and minions.
At level 50 my preferred weapons depend on the match but it's usually the G2, CAR or Smart Pistol and Hemlock. The smart pistol's lock on its good for killing minions but the really nasty thing is that it always hits in the little dot crosshair. So if you ignore the lock on (on pc) you can drop players fast with headshots.
Right now my favorite titan weapons are a toss up between the arc cannon and triple threat. People are starting to wise up to jumping to escape the triple threat but it kills minions like nobody's business and shooting it into windows is a good way to surprise players (also atop buildings, over things and over cover).
I tend to either use a strider with the triple threat or orge with the arc cannon. Which is decent at killing titans and -murders- players.
Other kit stuff?
Satchels rock, especially with deadman's switch when getting frustrated. Think you are going to die? Satchel. 9/10 times you'll get the player that killed you.
I really, really like the enhanced parqour kit. I tend to forget I don't have it and get myself killed when using other kits.
WALL RUN, WALL HANG!
Lots of people are still play the game like CoD with double jumps and bunnyhop like mad. Don't play that game. While they are bouncing up and down wall run around behind them or wall run, jump, wall hang. They are too busy bouncing like 5 year old on a trampoline.
Lots of people like to say the cloak is meh. It's not great against players but it does let you get the drop on people and more importantly evade. Think you are about to get smoked, cloak and start wall jumping/running to get away.
