Best performance tires for street use

BT002s are ancient. They were replaced by the BT003 at least a few years ago.

Yo momma's a squid!

@Nick. You don't know me and don't judge me by the bike I ride. If u got something slick to say, come see me!

Calm down killer. Its da barfz

+1 on all the previous posts. Any of the big names will work just fine. S20, Q3, supercorsas, pp3 etc...

If you can find the limits of those tires on the street you probably arent long for this world, so come hang out with us at the track before that happens!

What iz da best can I can get for my sportbile? I need maximum performance gain so the bike can keep up with my mad skills when I'm carving dem hilz, yo.

Michelin Power One. Basically a cut slick, not good in the wet, poor tread life, 75%+ track tire. Love this tire though.

yo bro just get some slicks, those gixxers ride only on slicks...

Question to author of this, can you tell the difference between ST and SS tire while riding ? Most people that ask for sticky tires do so because its a mental thing to them, and in reality you want an ST tire for the street because no way you can heat up the tires on the street the way you can on the track, and if you have those mad skillz then you wouldnt be asking this question.

Short story short, any brand new set of tires from any of the major manufacturers will serve you well.

Choose by your favorite tread pattern, brand name or price point. All of your new tire choices are really just different flavors of good choices.

* Sport Tire Choices (For Extra Dry/Warm Performance)
AVON Viper Sport, BRIDGESTONE BT016 Pro & S20, CONTINENTAL Sport Attack2, DUNLOP Qualifier Q3, METZELER Sportec M3 & M5 Interact, MICHELIN Pilot Power 3, PIRELLI Diablo Rosso II & Rosso Corsa

* Sport-Touring Tire Choices (For Extra Mileage & Cold/Wet Performance)
AVON Storm ST2, BRIDGESTONE BT023 & T30, CONTINENTAL Road Attack2 & Conti Motion, DUNLOP Roadsmart2, METZELER Roadtec Z6 & Z8, MICHELIN Pilot Road3 & Pilot Road4, PIRELLI Diablo Angel GT

For normal riding Bridgestone BT-023, Michelin PR3/4.
For a little Extra stick Bridgestone BT-016. This what I run and they are great. More tire then I need.
New tires a light years better then even a couple years ago.

^^^ :thumbup You Da Man, mototireguy :thumbup

On the Metzeler Interacts, I favor the Z6's over the Z8's (but that's just me)

The Metzeler Interacts are my tire of choice, because of the single compound
(wear rate being controlled by varying cord tension in construction)

Multi compound tires, I grew to hate, because the wear rate differences at the line of the meeting compounds, made a change in the profile as the tire wore
(and it didn't take long) ...And that wear pattern, compromises the contact patch, and the confidence...
Just when you don't want to be getting any squiggle messages from those tires.

When did I ever say I have mad skills?! Dumb ass!

My friends either suggest or swear by the Q3's, Michelin's, or Pirelli's. I figured I'd post this thread to try and get an unbiased opinion without stating any brand names. Thanks to those that replied.

Pretty much for anyone that isnt an alien, the grip between those is negligible, just depends on profile preference of the person.

I read this as "I don't know what to say when my friends are talking about tires so I better get some other people's opinions so I can show my friends I am the real deal"

Michelin Pilot Road 3/4. whichever is cheaper.
