Bumping other bikes at stoplights?

I would not appreciate the bump, especially since I'm on my tip toe's at a stop and a hard enough bump can cause me to lose my balance and fall. And then who know what kind of reaction that would warrant.............

I don't even like it when people I know tire bump me.

+1

All in good fun. Nobody got hurt and he didnt look to mad/sad about it.

I'd be careful if I were you... Shit like that pisses some people off. Some of 'em might have a reaction you wouldn't like... although they might feel a little guilty watching you trying to pick your bike up off the asphalt...
And besides, he's wearing a helmet, you're behind him, how do you know he didn't look "mad/sad about it"?? The crazy ones never do, ya know...

If you desire anal sex, why don't you just get off your bike, walk up to the other rider and simply ask?

:rofl

If my friends do it to me, I'm alright with it. If a random stranger bumped me, I'd probably get off the bike and tag him.

between friends, it's funny and okay.

A stranger does it to me, I'll be sure to wait until they're riding parallel to me and hit their kill switch and swiftly kick their bar end until they go into a major tank slapper or flat out wreck. Call me an ass hole, but you don't do that shit to strangers.

I also stand tip toes on my bike, if you bump me and i loose footing, I'll sure as hell kick the living shit out of you with your own foot. Then call you in for causing an accident in which I had to defend myself.

(i probably wouldn't do anything i said i would in this post)

But it's stupid to try doing that to strangers. And if I were having a bad day, I might not think twice of making you eat a little asphalt. Others might not think twice about retaliation either.

My brother did that to me with our bumpers in cars on a Friday afternoon on the way to the bank in Nashville. So
I grabbed my drywall hatchet and waved it at him from the top of his hood. I wasn't serious but he never did that
again.

Later in life a car did that to me when I was on a scooter in SF and I didn't do anything.

I had a chain and lock in the trunk but I just wasn't in the mood. . .:laughing

Have a great story about bumping.

Leaving zeitgeist on the mutard, friend was behind me in his pickup, we turned down duboce to head over to folsom and down to the homestead on 19th.

So I wheelie down to the light, he gets behind me, and starts ramming me with his truck, I'm flipping him off and getting jostled around, suddenly he stops, I figure he heard my tail sections creaking and cracking.

Light changes and I loft a wheelie down to folsom, drop the front down and supermoto onto folsom...and look in my mirror and see SFPD cruiser...

Apparently he stopped ramming me because sfpd was behind him, and they hit him with the spotlight. Then they saw a much more interesting retard when my front tire left the light.

So I get screamed and yelled at on the side of the road (no ticket, just lots of swearing and yelling), and he rolls by, windows down, laughing his ass off.

:rofl

I meet him at homestead a few minutes later...

good times :D

If my turn signal breaks off again the next place it's getting epoxied is their colon.

Now really, I agree with making room for other bikes up front - it's just polite. But bumping? Not polite.

If mine bumps me it means "lets turn around and go fuck" If I bump mine it means "let's turn around go home and fuck"
If a stranger bumps me, the panties get damp and then I get PISSED OFF, because the bump has no meaning and I receive NO physical pleasure.

Wide stance.

Well being 6'3" on a little, for me, motorcycle not only are my feet on the ground but I have a wide stance (that's not a gay thing is it?). I also keep my front brake on (yay Brembo's) so stupid cars see the taillight. In my dreams I hope that will keep one of them from hitting me one day. So unless the person bumped me really soft they would probably just bounce and fall down, I'm not going anywhere, I can almost pick my bike up at only 300lbs so dropping it won't happen sitting still with the front brake on.

Of course no one has ever been dumb enough to bump me yet, maybe a Harley guy will at some point, seem to be enough around here and I guess they all have bowie knives..heh. But I'm not sure they would have enough time to pull it before I could cave in their face, gotta love padded carbon fiber knuckle motorcycle gloves. Bumping you like that does qualify as reckless driving on a motorcycle so you can say you were "in fear for your life", go see what possibilities that opens up the criminal code for acceptable responses, it gets pretty broad.

Interesting though, I never knew other riders would pull things like that, most that have gone around me have made sure they were completely clear of me before doing so and usually stopped behind me first until I looked back and nodded. Oh, well, hope this situation skips me.
