You cannot be trusted.
The bottom line.

We ALL lose the ability to enjoy peace of mind on Redwood when somebody else doesn't follow the rules and cannot be trusted to do so in the future. If you don't follow the rules, you are not welcome on any of the roads I want to ride on. Period.

Steve

P.S. 350z driver, I went through this same phase when I was your age, I still have this lame screen name from those days. I never dreamed of crossing the DY. My suggestion: Grow out of it. Quickly.

even if it was $300 to track, that's less than two tires, or the front buddy club bumper, or about the same as a big wing and fart cannon, or that new "cold air intake", less than a new set of PIAA lights, or two new rims or....

matter of priorities I suppose.

Plus, no matter how many stupid mistakes are made by others, or deliberately at risk actions, does not justify continuing or acceptance. Thousands of folks drive drunk daily, hop on their bike without a helmet, or decide not to strap their kid into a car seat for that "short trip". Doesn't mean one should deliberately do these things, nor should people doing these things not get jumped and pummeled verbally or otherwise.

and if "cones" don't do it for you, what does? the risk on the street? you can get that at SCCA events too. The thrill of risking others? Now that's asshattery.

Got your SCCA number handy? Not that I'm doubting or anything....:p

THIS IS NOT MASAKI BUT A FRIEND AND A FORMER SCCA DRIVER.

this is the only quote that i agree with. i wanna make this short so excuse my choice of words.

these are my thoughts about this incident and everyone who posted negative things on this thread. some of you may get offended by this. i feel everyone on this forum has way to much time on there hands and this forum must be really dead if this incident blew up so big.

seems like a ass thing to say right? but check this out i know a nurse at a hospital whos job is to write reports for accidents and she told me she gets an average of 15 motorcycle accidents a day. you can never take riding a motorcycle lightly. even if you are the safest rider in the world. most cars arent looking out for bikes. most cars dont even see bikes half the time.

it annoys me how all of you are saying he is just sorry he got caught for you to say that shows me you are the type of person to make judgements about someone before even getting to know them. and you most see nothing but evil in everyone. he is truly sorry and admits he made a mistake which is what this is a mistake! you act like he knew a biker was going to be on that turn so he cut in to hit him! i could completely understnad if someone died or got hurt. but this how thread turned into a what if you hit him or you know what could of happened if you did this.

nothing happened. no ones perfect! you all act like you never made a dumb mistake and regreted it. when it comes down to it no one is perfect. do you all chase down every person that cuts you off or almost hits you on the regular roads? those are called accidents if it makes you that angry i think you should take anger management classes. im not sayig it doesnt make me angry but not to this extent.

also for you to try to talk about not only him but his friends who HAD NOTHING to do AT ALL with this incident is fucking stupid. that part of this thread made me especially mad. GET A lIFE! NO STALKERS! and you all say "oh take it to the track or scca" i drove both and driving around cones just doesnt do it for most drivers. and point me out the nearest track where i dont have to spend 300 to drive on. most people dont have time and money to drive so many miles and spend money to get in. on top of that you have to pay for gas you will use up tires and brakes so thats more money you have to spend!

just so you guys know theres alot more people that drive as you would call it "wreckless" on these back roads that just his team. most car drivers drive the road to push take thier skills to a new level and test the car. crazy? is it not crazy to do most things? anything can be dangerous just depends on how you look at it. sleeping at home can be dangerous if the house cacthes on fire and no alrams go off. riders should be the last people who talk about dangerous behavior. ii give you all mad respect for riding around. cutting through traffic, wheelies on the freeway.

theres so much more i wish to talk about but i rather not get into it. just know he is truly sorry and just until you all can get the sand out of your vaginas about this situation(whoever accetped tje apology thank you and forget this part) him and his whole crew will lay low off redwood and pinehurst.

i just would like you all to know that if anything happens to any of the cars or people in his crew you have all gave us enough evidence to take legal actions. thanks to all the hot heads that sent youtube/myspace messages full of threats. and thanks for the creepy invasion of privacy pics that we also saved. i hope you all can be more mature than a bunch of 19 year olds who admitted to making a mistake and were man enough to try and settle this dispute.

ps. we will not be on this forum anymore. he offered you all a chance to meet in person and no one accepted it so theres nothing else to say. everything that could have been said was said. we dont have a time machine to go back and stop this from happening and to tell him to stop driving that road just isnt a option. and even if he did so many ohter drivers are on the road and just as "wreckless"

now having driven both of those, and seeing what the 2.2 intercooled turbo 4 can do in the right hands, I gotta demand the rest of the story...PM if necessary :)

Oh man, you ain't kidding there! I once outran an '86 Shelby Charger (the turbo version) in mine, umm, err, wait, I guess I shouldn't tell the whole story in this thread... :cool

Never mind. I see that you've wasted your chance here.

But as someone earlier explained, it's about impressing judges, and not actually racing. In that framework, it makes sense. tho why guys into that sort of racing then brag about how fast their car is, or who take an AWD and force it to slip at any slightly aggressive corner, that's confusing. Kinda like guys who do donuts then complain their tires don't last..:p

I didn't get it either... then I went to a few events simply because I happened to be racing at the same track. And then I went for a few rides with the 'experienced' drivers and saw the level of control that they had in their vehicles.

They do time trials and head to head in their racing, who can run the fastest line around a track, in a track set up where you have to get the car sideways to make it around a majority of the track. And they run in pairs... that's two cars nose to tail at the same time during the head to head event. They're judged on speed, who can run the tightest line while still maintaining a controlled slide, transitions, smoothness... What some of these guys can do with subtle flicks of the wrist and a little heel-toe action is amazing, especially given the speed they can carry while they're doing it.

It's like motorcycle stuntriding... I'm going to guess you probably can't see the appeal there, but it's something that attracts people, and has those who are committed to mastering the discipline.

Both have their place, and there are more than enough closed circuit roadcourses and organizations that have events to keep it off heavy traffic public roads.

I sure hope you saved those YouTube Videos too...

And by the way...it's not invasion of privacy if the pics are openly available on the Internet... dumbass!

Stunting I get, when it's done off the streets.

what really confuses me is motorcycle sidecar racing...gotta be some weird folks into that sorta thing!

I'm joking, put down the wrench! (love the videos, wish there was a better way to record sound)

you know I would have given dumvineZ the benefit of the doubt and said I was glad that he was thinking about his driving, but this post only proved he was crying crocidile tears.

300 bucks for a track, that's what I pay for a sears point track day on my SV650, plus gas, tires, transport and food: it's cheaper than a speeding ticket and much cheaper than someones life.

invasion of privacy, yep we invaded his privacy by forcing him to post his dumbass drivng on youtube. We used our time machine to go back in time and force him to post them up before he had the encounter with Flyin hun.

yeah we know more than just his "crew" drive like asses on the back roads, some prior SCCA drivers do it too.

I was truly hoping that this thread would ultimately lead to all road users thinking about the consequences of crossing the double yellow, but it looks like the z driver is just looking for a pass on his past behavior so he can continue it; I hope this isn't true.

Pretty much all got from this is I need to more vigilant on those roads and GixxerGirl gets leghumped all over the intrawebz.

Are you actually saying that because it costs money on the track you think you should be able to drive like an asshat on the road? Unbelievable!

Good luck with that legal threat! :laughing You have nothing.

On a final note, divz you've officially crossed into the realm of being forever classified as a "BEOTCH." Piss and moan all you wish, but the fact of the matter is that you've been caught being dumb and are in the process of throwing a bitchfit since you can't sway the audience. Stop your whining about the cost of trackdays, I can almost hear the tantrum through my laptop besides it's cheaper than the loss of a life. If you choose not to do trackdays be prepared to reap the consequences affirmed in previous posts. Don't believe it will happen to you, well that's just plain ignorant.

And cue; :facepalm

2009 Nissan 350Z, including "performance" accessories to give you an extra 5hp -- so useful when you spend most of your time stuck in traffic on 880 -- and $2000 worth of dumb-ass blingy shit to transform your car into the perfect penis substitute: $50,000

Trackday, including gas and incremental wear and tear: $500

Seriously, WTF is wrong with you people??

Srlsy? If the parents pay for all of it, what is there to worry about?

Wow - what a read.

Kurt - glad you're okay ... I would have died ... no doubt about it.

Divz - what can I say ... I hope you have learned something and will stop driving like a tool.

Connie - marry me - you are awesome! :love

THIS IS NOT MASAKI BUT A FRIEND

Clearly, as this post was downright cogent, compard to what's-his-name's.

i feel everyone on this forum has way to much time on there hands and this forum must be really dead if this incident blew up so big.

seems like a ass thing to say right?

Yes. Yes, it does seem like an ass thing to say.

I'd be willing to bet that everyone on here that has more than a couple years' riding under thier belt either has or knows someone who has been injured (or worse) by a careless or reckless driver. Until you've felt that kind of physical or emotional pain, I guess you just can't understand. But you should damn sure try a little harder.

However, it was the right thing to do to get on here and apologize. But he watered it down way too much by making excuses:

"I'm sorry, but I was roadraging (bullshit), I don't normally drive like that (bullshit), sure we make videos, but we only cross the DY late at night (bullshit)"

Each of those bullshit claims were shown to be lies by his own actions, either after the OP caught up with him, or his own videos and/or statements.

If you'd (he'd) just have said:

"I'm sorry, it was bad judgement, and I've learned something from it, I'm going to enroll in a track school and you'll never see me driving like this on the street again, ever. Not during the day, not at night, never"

You'd (he'd) likely have gotten a different reaction from many.

most car drivers drive the road to push take thier skills to a new level and test the car. crazy?

Yes. As well as stupid, childish and inconsiderate. Feel free to endanger yourself as much as you want. Your right to do that ends the instant it endangers me.

Maybe when you grow up a bit you'll understand that. Hopefully you'll take it down a notch on public roads until then.

ps. we will not be on this forum anymore. he offered you all a chance to meet in person and no one accepted it so theres nothing else to say.

Nice way to weasel out. Come on here, post a couple incoherent, rambling semi-apologies laden with glaring inconsistencies and then bounce, claiming the high ground because nobody wanted to meet up with you.

Fail.

Complete. Utter. Failure.

Kurt, glad you made it through OK.

DivZ: You fucked up. Don't spend time trying to rationalize it. You fucked up. Learn from it. It could have been a much harder lesson. Just ask this kid.
