Do You Mountain Bike?

^^ looks interesting. Did u guys ride N* at all? I bailed with the weather :thumbdown

Kinda late but I put my twigs n berries back in my pants, broken collarbone and all and raced Livewire Sunday the 5th.

The traction was awesome up at Northstar. No dust but it was packed since it was the last day.

Looks like there's a 4 hour Bikeskills clinic that morning, and a free one hour clinic that afternoon too.

Hope you had fun at N* JB - I'm bummed I didn't get a full day up there this season!

Anyone in SF running a 24-inch rear wheel on a standard rear spaced hub? I need to see if my swingarm yoke will accept a 24 in the back of my 26 mountain bike. A 2.3-2.5 tire on it would be sweet. I will bring my bike to you and all I want to do is slip it on and see if it clears. Take all of 2 minutes. PM me.

an 8Hr XC race...

Each lap is ~9miles with 1200ft of climbing.

Do as many laps as you can in 8 hours.

You can do it solo, a team of 2,3 and even co-ed.

Jeremy, Sonny and I did the race earlier this year.

Fun course...mainly singletrack with some fireroads mixed in.

1st rider does a lap or two, 2nd rider waits at start/finish for 1st rider. As soon as 1st rider cross start/finish, 2nd rider starts lap....so on.

I think the best way to do it is have each person do one lap and give it all they've got.

Too far.

Does not fit in budget.

Focus on school.

(If I say this to myself enough times, I might be able to prevent myself from doing it...)

I'm already registered :party

Sorry guys Sophia and I are gonna do a 2 person coed. I've got to get that girl in shape:ride

Open registration isn't active until midnight tonight.

That page should link you to it.

Oh just do it Mike =P

I'm actually taking a break from it all until I finish school next summer. I want to bump up to Sport category next year, and I'd like to be competitive when I do it. It'll take some time and even more work, but by the time I'm done with school I figure I should be in pretty good shape.
