Do you wear a watch?

Oooh, I'll play!

I traded a guy a saxophone for one of these a while back.

Been wanting one since 2003.

Very nice. Reminds me somehow if this Seiko that I've always wanted but is impossible to find:

I need to get my Submariner serviced... any recommendations?

Why does your Submariner need servicing?

FWIW I've owned hundreds if not thousands of Rolex watches. Unless there is a specific internal issue like rust, losing time, water, etc. I've never had any of them serviced. YMMV but I wouldn't waste my money on just general servicing.

Having said that, I have a really trustworthy not expensive watch guy. He takes a couple of weeks to service watches. PM me and we can work something out.

It's been stuck in a drawer the last couple of years since I moved, mostly probably just a CLA (Clean Lubricate Adjust). I have a Breitling that also needs some service, where the crown got pulled out... I'll send you a PM, 2 weeks isn't bad for a decently priced service. :)

That's good to know. I follow the same doctrine - if it ain't broke...

But I have gotten some disproving looks from jewelers for it.

It's good to know when things need servicing (or not), but .. owning thousands of watches doesn't mean that you've owned some of them for like the 5-10 years when they'd need service...?

What you got in stock right now?

Can you polish the omega I got from you btw?

That the standard Omega band, TJ?

That’s what happens when you own a jewelry resale shop for 25+ years! :laughing

I’ll text you some pics Ev:thumbup

Yes I can polish your watch. Do you ever commute through PH?

No sir. I found a pretty reliable maker on Etsy to custom make that band.

Can you find 1970s or 80s Speedmasters?

About a grand, and being that it's handmade in America I believe it to be easily worth it. What's really striking is the back- an exhibition back on a winder is very rare.

.

If you're seriously thinking of picking one up let me know- I have a contact that will save you a couple hundred bucks. With that said, I still think you should take a good look at a Seiko with the 6R15 movement- 23 jewels and really choice styles.

That watch looks sexy as hell!!!

I saw this in person last night. Holy shit.
