Draggin jeans: Anyone fall down in them.???

...So jeans may seem convenient when you are just doing jaunts around town..but not terribly "convenient" when you are picking gravel from butt cheeks. Overpants that you can slip off and strap to your bike would be safer.

Noone ever thinks they will crash just doing jaunts around town or commuting but as my dad always told me "Dress for the fall"!!

:thumbup

Jeez, is there an echo in here???

Sorry, soapbox removed...just not a fan of rash, hamburger limbs or swollen joints from blunt force.

I don't quite get why Scorpion Covert riding jeans that provide full Kevlar coverage to below the knee ( where my boots begin) as well as hip and knee armor pockets, for which I ordered the SAS-Tec armor, would not provide as much protection as my kevlar armored riding pants.

I do understand that denim is pretty much useless and that the Coverts would probably not be reusable after a significant off but they seem to cover the basics for abrasion resistance and impact absorption.

I guess we all have to decide how we choose to manage risks for ourselves.

Bought these when they first came out from Revzilla but returned them. Jeans were really thick and plenty of kevlar. The things I didn't like were the armor pockets just didn't fit my stubby legs. I guess I could have just worn strapped knee protection under it but that would add to the thickness of the jeans. But for the price of a kevlar lined jeans, you really can't beat the Coverts.

I got a pair of these. better than nothing, cheap enough to always have a clean pair available, decent Kevlar coverage and armor, and like boots, remind me that I am riding, now. Probably fine for a panic slide when a van pulls out in front, turn gravel under 45 mph, dropping at a red light, etc. typical street get offs.

weird name..probably made in Pakistan, like most. sizing was good for me.

Those look like the built cargo pants and about the same price. Oh and I agree.
