Ev trucks - 2022+

The rivian gets weirder looking every time I see one. Is it just me?

I think they look stranger in person, but I still like their looks better than other trucks.

The Hummer thing get's uglier every time I see it though, though, I haven't seen that one in person yet.

The front light bar situation is what really turns people off, otherwise it’s a fairly normal-ish looking truck.

I’ve seen the Rivian SUV driving around. Looks better.

Also have seen the SUV version of the Hummer EV. And that looks much much better.

The company that promised to make a quirky egg that I quite liked (and invested into a little bit) Is making some big moves.

Canoo made a deal to sell up to 10,000 of their delivery vans to Walmart.

They also made a deal to supply NASA with astronaut vans, which will be these ones, I guess.

And, they are in talks with the DoD as well...

I still like the weird egg, though seeing a whole bunch of them with Walmart logos all over actually on the road might dampen my enthusiasm.

Still, the egg truck might actually happen now, which is cool.

Ok folks. I’ve been a little excited waiting for this announcement. But GM finally unveiled the Blazer EV yesterday. I think it looks pretty good (for an EV since all these damn EVs have to look futuristic). Starting at $45k and goes to $65k if you want this SS version which does 0-60 in under 4 seconds.

I’m actually even more impressed with the interior. I think it looks far better than most of the EVs out there today.

Some interesting bits are the fact that you can get this in front, rear, or all wheel drive. Max range will be ~320 miles…which ehhh, could have been better I suppose.

Why would they use the blazer name and ruin the nostalgic fun of a future model to compete with the bronco?

Looks good though.

Ford did it with the Mustang Mach E. Buy that measure, Chevy should have called it the Camaro SS E. :laughing

Because they already bastardized the Blazer nameplate with the current ICE powered Blazer. That thing has been out for a few years now.

Yeah they screwed that up. The explorer parallel should have been the trailblazer and then the trailblazer should have been something new.

But nope, they bastardized Trailblazer too. That’s been some little crossover thing for a few years now as well.

Anyways. I dropped a $100 deposit on this new Blazer EV. Might do the same for the Silverado EV as well. Right now today, I wouldn’t really want an EV. My wife might be more inclined to do one. But in a year or so when this Blazer actually starts delivering? Maybe my head will be in a different place. Or maybe they’ll be some pent up demand and I’ll just take delivery and flip it for a profit. Or neither, and I’ll just get my $100 back. But for now it doesn’t hurt to get a place in line. I probably could’ve profited well over a quarter million bucks by now from flipping had I dropped an early deposit for recent releases like the Rivian, Hummer, Lightning, Bronco, Stingray, and a few others.

It's a good looking ride, but I pretty much hate all the 3-ton high power EV's. They defeat the purpose at which point an EV is just a novelty to erroneously tell your friends how you're saving the planet at cheese and wine parties. Like buying a harley, it's buying a persona more than transportation.
