Get Well Soon Frong

Kinda weird that the Tower nor, possibly, the T-5 corner worker didn't see the get off...

Hope you're relatively alright, Frong. Wishing you the best...

Damn that sucks fr0ng, get well soon dude, the intar-web is a little lonlier without you...

Damn. I always enjoy reading fr0ng's post. Hope he is Okay, and that the sun didn't get to him.

Get well soon bro. I'm sure you will be out on the track tearing it up again.

how can this happen?
because trackdays do not supply enough turnworkers. that's why.

I'd like to add to that a bit.

From what I've seen motorcycle track days don't have enough turn workers. At all the automotive track days I've been to, almost every flag station is manned, so there is pretty much complete coverage of the track.

Besides...how the FUCK did the people in the main control tower not see that? you have a COMPLETE view of the track from up there.

Here's hoping Sami heals up quickly and can start pissing me off with his posts again ;)

hope you have a speedy recovery :thumbup

i can't believe no 1 saw him exit the track :wtf

FrOng...

...I don't think I have had the pleasure of meeting frOng either but he is respected by me as a reader of this board.

That said, heal well, Frick Insurance...we're talking a saved life...I'd pay over a million dollars to keep the thought of me riding again...oh, where was I.....Hope you get back on the board in a couple weeks. Hope someone shares their laptop with you during your hospital stay so you can share your thoughts on the threads you create here.

I respect you for two reasons. One: You can dish it out and take it. Two: When FrOng writes, riders read and respond.

Looking forward to your return to the board and the Streets/Track...and hope to meet you one of these days. Wishing you heal quickly.

What he said. What the FUCK kind of shit is that. :mad

All the animosity aside...get well kid.

And that's total fucking bullshit that nobody saw him leave the course. There should be total coverage of all turns, or there should be no live track. I don't give a fuck how many people will be put out of time and money...if you're on a track, you expect to be able to ride 10/10ths with still some kind of safety net in the form of quick reacting emergency services if there should be a problem. By leaving him out in the boonies for an hour like that is no better than sliding off the side of 9 while riding 10/10ths and being found by a hiker. An incident like this makes saying, "save it for the track" provoke a response like "why bother? I can be left for dead all the same doing the same shit and crashing on public roads, so fuck you and your 'take it to the track' bullshit."

ummmm.....COMPLETE DIPSHITS?!

i have my own opinions about other aspects of this situation and what the possible "problem" was, but they will remain unshared, except for thought that perhaps there weren't any dipshits in the tower......there were nobodies instead.

damn! sorry to hear about that.

he'll be back soon enough, though.

good luck, man.

There were alot of people asking these same questions out there. I think he went off at a high rate of speed and tried saving it and kept going up the hill where he got out of sight.
I heard he may have a broken femur which might require surgery. I'm sure the details will come out eventually. Apparently when he was questioned he did'nt know what day it was let alone what had happened...

Isn't there some legal obligation in terms of the Track Day organizer? Something about it just doesn't sound like it's as simple as nobody saw him, and it's tough noogies.

This really is one of those bone chilling injuries that turn crashing into a reality...

Not a good thing to read.......hope you fare well Sammy, I ahve never met you, but wish you the best.

I too wonder how someone went un-accounted for and no one went out a gave a serious look around the track.......

To me it would make sense, 2 people go out, 1 comes back.....that usually means they are still out there.....no:confused

Get well bro.

Holy shit, no half measures for fr0ng! This will be a story to tell for a number of years. If he was out there baking in the desert I hope he really was unconscious. Guess that if I ever do get around to doing a track day it will be with a buddy for sure.

He did have a buddy with him and they were looking all over for him. I had 2 people come up to me and ask me if I'd seen him and they called his name on the intercom. I think they thought that he had pitted early and was hanging out somewhere. He was WAAAAYYY off the track up the hill between 1 and 2...

Wow, I don't know Fr0ng, but I've read his posts here. Get well man. I think I have an idea where he ended up. i remember a miata going off that way off turn 1 when I used to do track days in cages.

Get well man!

OK I just talked to some people.

Here is an update. Sami is in the ICU, at Chico. He is pretty messed up but is going to live. The major injury he has sustained is a broken femur, which is going to require surgery. He is being flown tomorrow to a regional medical center. Im not going to say where yet. Ill keep you guys updated.
