I'm assuming this is a "no ride, just look" event? But then why have 5 of them vs. just 1? I've heard they aren't available until April/May? I guess this is cool ... but what a tease!! "Here is a really cool new bike. But you can't ride it. And you can't buy one for another 6-7 months. Have a beer." :)

I do that all the time, just look and not buy.
If I bought every bike I thought was cool I'd have to sell crack to finance the cost.

How else would you do it if you want a large number of people to be able to look at and touch the bike?

I can remember one of those events at A&S Ducati in Roseville when the new Monster 1200 S came out. We all got to touch it and sit on it, but it wouldn't have worked if someone was off riding it while the rest of us waited for it to come back.

These are still pre-production models and they probably don't have very many. I wonder if liability issues prevent test rides. They haven't allowed journalists to ride them yet, IIRC.

The Indian Demo Truck is coming to Arlen Ness in Dublin on the 9th and 10th.

They will have every model available for test rides EXCEPT the FTR. They said you can sit on em and squeeze the levers but that's it....

Akros clean up the look a bit....

I like the S&S pipes better. Fits the scrambled theme. Might even be able to make scrambled eggs on the right side of your crotch...

I would like to see a factory Kawi flat tracker using their ninja 650 platform.

By having 5 I thought, cool there will be demo rides! But guess that isn't the case.

Then it seems odd to have 5 in one place just to look at ... why not send those 5 to 5 different dealers and have it on display for say a week at each dealer? Vs. 5 in one spot for 2-3 hours.

Maybe the crowds will be so large you need 5 for everyone to get a chance to see one up close? :)

And seems odd to be showing off a bike you can't purchase for another 7 months. Maybe they are still gather input on colors and options or something?

Anyway, cool looking bike, glad they are making it, might go get a beer and take a look.

It's still not legal to ride one in California and it's a pre production model. They have buyers putting down deposits right now. I think more people will put a deposit down once they see them.

me, too!
have US Kawi any non-MX/SX budget?

remember, it was about 18 months ago
when I [mis-?]interpreted Keith McCarty's
remarks about a US Yamaha-developed
AFT machine appearing 'soon' - crickets......
private BluCrews [GO Jiggy Dawg!!] have stepped up

then it turns out that KTM's jumping in

Team Green needs to wake up & get busy!

If Yamaha or Kawa sold production versions of their AFT Twins bikes I would seriously consider one...

If BMW sold a replica version of the Ron Woods bike I would buy one.

yep - ANY Ron Woods bike would be a keeper -
his Snortin Norton, ridden by #44 Alex "Jorgy" Jorgensen, would do just fine!
