Indian Scout FTR1200

Well in case you didn't know Polaris bought Brammo and Polaris owns Victory and Indian and who make the Empulse. It doesnt have any parts similarity with the FZ07 does it maybe a Goldwing?

I do know another bike with a similar tubular swingarm setup and that's the triumph speedmaster. But thats nowhere near the same bike.

Dude, you are really reaching.

They both have two wheels.

They both come with handlebars.

They both have seats.

They both have the same parent company.

Zoom in. Right there look! They both have triangle frames!

Holy shit Illuminati confirmed!

I hate to interrupt, but did I miss the announcement of who won the FTR1200 giveaway? Because it obviously was not me! :mad

Look at the swing arms, brakes, forks, clamps. even the kickstand assembly looks the same. The Sachs rear shock same the reservoir is a piggyback style versus the Empulse is remote. Maybe even the handle bar. There is a lot that is the same...

You might want to get your eyes checked. The parts you are referencing are about as similar as they are to a Ninja 650. :rolleyes

RSD goes FTR 1200:

".....smooth power off the front and back cylinders. You can adjust them individually that way too, which helps with tuning, and with real smooth power delivery, which is kind of key.....

.....Look for a new set of RSD/Indian collab wheels in factory FTR 1200 sizes (19-by-3-inch front, 18-by-4.25-inch rear) too.....probably the raddest wheel that we’ve ever built. Everyone’s super excited about them, and we’ve designed a lot of wheels....."

Meh. I'm sure this bike will appeal to some. I don't see anything overly special about it, especially for the money they are asking. Those tires and wheels have to go, man. I know they were trying to kinda simulate a tracker, but I don't know. of course, you don't know how good or not good those tires will be until you ride them, so maybe they'll be OK.

Based on the number of supposed deposits this bike will generate some initial buzz. But can it be sustained? I guess we will see. It actually has to be released first!

So...there never was a free give away ftr was there. It was just a hype to get some email adress’s? Seems like if it was real they would be posting it all over the place, instead it just quietly went away. What a bunch of crap

They can have my email addy if I can get in on the chance still ;o)

I don't think the FTR1200 is in production yet. They aren't at dealers and I haven't seen any road tests of production bikes. Indian has been showing pre-production versions at shows and dealers but those bikes can't be sold or given to the public. The contest stated that the bike given away would be among the first off the production line.

I would guess that since it's not out yet they can't yet give one away. I suppose this will happen this Spring.
