*Liam's Wild Ride*

awww Liam, yer mom is too cute!

This is it! My last day in town and I'm feverishly wrapping things up. I'm physically all over the place but I will definitely be at Zeitgeist later tonight, probably around 8:30, 9-ish. If anyone wants to hang out a little and shoot the breeze, buy a shirt, or whatever, that's where I'll be. I can't believe all the good times I've had since I've been back after the USGP, and once things settle down for me a little (after the Czech GP, I'm thinking), there's going to be a ton of good stuff. With this beautiful California weather, who wants to sit and go through photos all day? I'm going riding!

Name that blow-out!

For anyone in the East Bay, or anyone looking for something neat to do early this evening, I recommend American Sportbike Night

oh, sure ... don't promote my event ;-) (it also happens in east bay as welll)

ALL WELCOME! August 14th, Ducati Bike Night - South Bay

Ducati North America and Ducati MH900evoluzione Owners Club invites you to San Francisco South Bay Area Ducati Bike Night. San Francisco South Bay Area Ducati Bike Night will take place from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm on the second Monday of each month.

The location:
Pizza Antica
334 Santana Row, #1065
San Jose, CA 95128-2013
Telephone: 408.557.8373
MAP

A great opportunity to socialize with other Ducati owners, share stories about the best roads to ride, discuss various performance upgrades, etc...

This event will be open to non-Ducati owners as well, in the hope that we can convert them to the power of Desmo.

Come join us for some great food and fun, and bring your Ducati!

ciao,
johnc

Hey Liam,
Hope your time in the good old US has rejuvenated you, though you've been found to be everywhere....lol

Keep us updated with all the good stuff from the Chech Repub and what not...

Oh, and don't forget - not liquids or gels while you're flying about.

Much love to you, and I'll see you in Estoril and Valencia in a few months.

Sara

I shipped out of San Francisco on Sunday, and after travelling some 21 hours+, I have arrived safely back in Barcelona. What an incredible trip for me in the Bay Area, and there are photos and stories that I will hold for a lifetime. After a delay at SFO (thanks, governments), I confirmed what I already knew: You cannot bring stuff like this onboard the flight. I'm actually surprised they let me photograph this stuff, but I told them it was for my website and not my terrorist training manual.

I'm in BCN for approximately 12 hours - just enough time to unload my baggage at the apartment and catch some much needed sleep (sleep? Hahaha, yeah, right!). At 4:45AM I left the house and by 5-ish I was off to go catch an early flight that would take me to Marseille, Prague, and then finally Brno. Because the flight was so early, I wasn't be able to catch the AeroPuerto Transporte, and had to shell out for a taxi. Small price to pay to get to another fantastic MotoGP race!

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to meet with me in California, and to those who helped me out along the way. I won't forget you, and I can't wait to see you all again. In the meantime, see you guys at the races!

Moto,
Liam

You know, that toothpaste could be plastique, and I bet that clear stuff in the shampoo containers is napalm. You're a sneaky one Liam. Have fun in Brno, that's one of my favorite races to watch on TV. Someday, maybe I'll catch the real deal.

From Prague to Brno. Most teams drive since it's only about 200KM, but a couple of us hopped about this neat ole' thang.

Let me guess....an ATR 42 (or maybe a 72)?? Hope that you had a good flight after the hassles of the TSA!

Hmm, I'd be surprised if that was the case in MotoGP though. It seems a crude method given the array of electronics used on MotoGP bikes' ignition systems for example. It's just a pity that we don't know a MotoGP mechanic who could shed some light on this for us...:teeth

I believe that most race cars with traction control also use the brakes. Anything else, ignition retard, fuel kill,
would unsettle the suspension on a bike.

Ack! Revealed to the world, the secret of the Liam smile :p

Seriously though, you can have that stuff in the luggage that goes under the plane, right? Though I'm not sure if it matters on the way back in.
