McRib

I watched this while cranking the Sisters of Mercy 1992 Temple of Love recording and it really worked.

Not to be a hater, but I wasn’t a fan when I tried the McRib. I’ll take a double quarter pounder.

Where you at, Rob? I'm already enjoying my third. :cool

As of today I’ve had six. McDonalds near my work started the party a few days early and had them available on Thursday. All with no pickles or onions…my usual.

Tomorrow, the mad scientist checks in and I’ll start slipping in hash browns and/or bacon.

This will be a glorious month. Glorious!

Mickey D is my “go to” comfort food. Sorry mapo tofu; no one remembers who comes in second.

However, I’ve never had a McRib. Based on photos, not sure I want to. The sauce glistens too much. Like its a diversion tactic to take your eyes away from the mechanically separated “meat product.”

I cannot imagine the process used to de-bone the meat and then make what remains free of gristle so that it can be made into a sandwich. And how is the uniformity achieved ?

The sauce is mostly corn syrup and paprika.

Presented on white bread. Ugh.

Cook anything long and slow enough, anything that isn't bone becomes edible.

I have a soup recipe that I do in the crockpot for 8 hours. I put in whole, bone in, skin on chicken thighs. Before serving it, I pick out the bones. Its delicious and overall more flavorful for having the extra skin and connecting tissue.

I don't know that's how McD's does it, but its a way to do it that is delicious and easy.

Everyone has their vices and as healthy as I eat, I am no exception. But holy shit, that thing looks like it'll shave 5 years off your life and make you shit bricks.

Don't be fooled by their wicked lies gentlemen, the sandwich is an abomination.

LOL, the McRib is to ribs as the Chicken McNugget is to chicken wings.

Never tried an actual McRib, but I do remember going to a food truck gathering pre-covid and having a "MickRib", which was actual hand separated rib meat on a ciabatta roll with house made pickles and sauce. Top 5 sando's I've ever had. I'm kicking myself for not writing down the name of the food truck!

^ the back of the couch that faces the wall. Not the seat cushions that have been farted on for a decade.
